Doing his best Jimmy H impersonation! Ackshually, Harden hasn't shot this low in any of his playoff runs. What's the deal with LD? He went from a certified legendado regular season to this.

His on/off is tight though.

Him and Tatum both seem to struggle with the increased physicality.

They say Luka is injured, but he seems to move fine on defense. His lack of step back 3s do seem suspect and might suggest injury.

I do think Dort and before that Mann, are exploiting a weakness of his, which is he is too slow to get started, similar to Harden and Tatum, but Luka doesn't have the speed of peak Harden to blow by a defender. He'd be more effective in the post.

Has to be injury related, Luka has generally shot better during the playoffs.

Is he injured? Or just fat? Here's what he looked like at the start of the season:

He's been total trash so far when it counted. Slow, fat turns the ball over, bricks constantly... and then cries like a fat kid without his cake on every possession.

He even flopped vs Lou Dort... whose an unbelievable flopping talent himself... to tie the game with 9 seconds left... and then not only missed but totally bricked the clutch free throws.

I have 0 faith in the Mavs if Luka is playing like this. He went nuts as a basically rookie vs prime kawhi and PG13 and now looks like a fat, flopping, turning the ball over incessantly, ****ing chipmunk with two nuts in his cheeks.

With what PJ and the bigs have provided... series would already be over if he didn't play so bad.

I wonder if OP ever watches games. Everyone who has watched the games know that Luka has been playing hurt. They have mentioned it several times on the broadcasts.

He isn't noticeably hurt though. He doesn't look at less athletic, which is all that matters.

You can tell when the injury flares up bc he either misses a shot or turns it over. Otherwise those would never happen. The fact he winces and grimaces after every bad result is how you can tell hes really hurt. Dont judge him by the times hes running out on a fastbreak or hitting a shot. Understand that all his bad plays are where the injury is flaring up.

Embiid dealt with this same sort of affliction.

It pretty shitty when players sit through injuries and people call them soft and when they play though injuries while not being 100% they get labeled chokers

I wasn't sure how bad he was hurt because maybe the Clippers were just playing great defense but it's too obvious now. He has no legs on his shots and he can't drive either. The only thing he can do is turn and shoot from the post. It's unfortunate because he finally has a great team around that could really make some noise. He's still young so there's always next year. Clippers meanwhile have run out of time.

He won't stop chucking and stat padding. :(

Unlike Jokic, he's still not better than Jordan Yet

While you're sarcastic the dopamin rush hitting shots gives you helps ignoring nagging injuries, while missing really has some detrimental effects. Doesn't mean Luka is hurt, but there's some accidental truth behind your post.

Jokic is skilled as hell and has had a few nice dunks over the past couple games. Maybe it says more about the guy allegedly defending him though. :confusedshrug:

First, he was dealing with The Mannimal, now he's being locked in The Dorture Chamber. The Fat Guy needs to stop complaining. Drop down and gimme' ten, tubby!

Next round against Denver he has to struggle against the Jamal'ted Milkballs.

Jokic center-size allows him to come closer to physically willfully dominating a game from the paint, much more so, that Doncic current playstyle, which IMHO relies far too much on less efficient perimeter play, when he can and should exploit smalls much more frequently, given how insanely high Luka’s paint FG% is the last two years. Kidd needs to analyze Magic, Andre Miller, etc …. PG who created from high post very frequently.

At least he's averaging about 30 ppg - imagine if he was averaging half that and shooting even worse, while being just a "system" and transition player (flow scorer, not a go-to player) - that was Pippen.
