Nuggs Minny - game 7
Pacers Knicks - game 7
Mavs vs OKC - game 7?
The one series that didn't have weird reffing, is over.
We see what you're doing Silver.

Everyone sees it all.
They turned it into a gambling addiction vector, for the stupid public.
Silver is corrupt and complicit.
It’s disgusting.
Competitive sports are one of the last relatively honest things left on TV.
Sports are the only thing left in entertainment that is a relatively honest MERITOCRACY.
And these MF’s can’t stand it, and want to corrupt that last honest thing, and pollute it with layers upon layers of dishonesty, so sports books can steal the public’s money.

They couldn't really rig cavs vs Celtics with Mitchell out.
But for the others it's gonna be awesome to see Game 7s with less bias.

Who do you even rig for in a series between Denver and Minnesota, or Dallas and OKC.
Not that I think theyre still doing this anymore (clearly pre-Donaghy they were, how do you think MJ got six chips) but aside from the Knicks there's no team remaining that it would even be worth trying to rig for. You have way more to lose by being exposed than to gain from putting one of those four teams in a conference finals ahead of the other.
Edit: Nevermind I misunderstood OP's point, I guess the crux is they were rigged to GO to game 7.
It's a bit of a hard sell when you have guys like Luka empirically playing brilliant one game and like shit the next. Or Denver turning the ball over 800 times in one game and then executing clean af the next.
The play has clearly reflected a back and forth series in most cases.

Eh... Luka Jokic Euro matchup should at least draw international ratings. Casual Americans don't even know who SGA and Ant are. Euros know who Yolk and Luka are.

I think people underestimate how tiring and difficult it is to play against teams that are allowed to foul you from baseline to baseline. It makes you have to spend a ton of energy on simple things like dribbling, all your passes need to be extra crisp etc.

officiating matters but not to the extent of making up 15-20 points. most of the games between den and minn have been blowouts. Knicks-pacers with the first 3 close games ok there's something to be argued.

There have been very different officiating styles in the Nuggets/Wolves series, and I think they have contributed to the blow-outs, in both directions. But it’s impossible to portray this as some sort of master plan. If the league were being biased in favor of one team, the series would almost certainly be over already. If they were trying to extend the series, it makes zero sense to bring out the extremely loose whistle in game 2, when MN has already stolen a game.
Moreover, if the league were going to push a series to seven games, it would be Lakers/Nuggets or NY/Philly. Game sevens are probably good for ratings in general, but Denver/MN?
The truly puzzling thing is that the league wants to expand and expand, but on its current revenue model it is strongly interested in having its best teams be from only a handful of markets. There are just so many Washington Generals that the league can absorb, if it truly wants to be a different version of the Globetrotters.
