elementally morale

Basketball can be played in different ways. Some people prefer watching physical dominance LeBron or Giannis style. Others want to see all-around skills or great shooting touch. Warrior mentality or finesse. Etc. And we see the players' different shortcomings being tolerable or fatal.
Who are some players you happen or happened to like in spite of their faults? Players you "shouldn't like", but you do. You end up liking them despite not preferring the style they represent.
I for one despise ballhogs. I grew up on Magic and Bird and really hated Jordan. End no, I didn't hate him because he was beating the Lakers and became the global icon. I hated him long before that. Saw him as selfish, taking too many shots. Too much individual play, not enough team. (No, I didn't end up as an MJ fan. I ended up respecting him but my dislike remained.) To this day, I prefer team first players and I don't really like iso basketball. I don't like watching Luka or Harden dribbling for 20 seconds. Or Durant isoing and nothing else. Another thing I don't like watching is physical dominance and very little skill involved. So Giannis is a pain for me to watch.
Here are some things I dislike:
- selfishness on the court
- iso basketball
- relying on physical dominance too much
And here are some players I like/liked regardless:
- Kobe (ballhog)
- Kyrie (iso)
- Shaq (physical dominance)
I also shouldn't like Jokic. Looks clumsy and uncoordinated. Players like him I usually find very hard to watch. But he won me over.
