I’d also like to add with no shame that a quick glance there are two players on this list I didn’t immediately recognize from a headshot.

I'd move Mitchell to riser, drop Middleton & Dray to neutral. Truth be told, Curry belongs in neutral too. The rest, unless I missed one, I relatively agree with.

Curry and KAT can move to down a category from where they are. Mitchell I will admit is a riser.
Im blanking on who the guy top right in the middle column is, and the guy with the headband second row of middle column, but they look familiar. It also took me a minute to recognize Sabonis because his hair is different now.
I understand McColllum as a playoff dropper, but is he so bad they had to use his photo twice!?

Kyrie statistically has been a dropper since leaving the Cavs though, his volume and efficiency seem to nosedive every postseason and Trae outside of a terrible 2022 has been neutral but incredibly inconsistent, but he's inconsistent in the reg season too. Booker might actually be a riser.

True, since leaving Cleveland Kyrie goes from 26/5/6 on 61%TS in the regular season to 22/5/5 on 56%TS in the playoffs.

How many players other than Tatum could average 24 points 10 boards 6 assists and get criticized for it?

I agree D’Lo is a playoff dropper but it’s funny to me he’s included in this graphic at all as if he’s on that star/all star caliber level as everyone else in the image. Edit: never mind there’s several role players on there

Averages/shot attempts/minutes sometimes go down due to injuries but for his career he's had 1 real disappointing series (2019 vs Milwaukee) and some great ones. At worst he's neutral and that's because of injuries.

22 when Boston swept them. Can’t even blame the help, the help kept every game under double digits despite Kyrie and Durant playing like ass. If the game is close because you’re underdelivering, you better make up for it in the clutch.

Every game? They should have won G1 off what Irving did alone. He gave them 1 great game, 2 mid ones and 1 bad one. For a #2 that's not terrible. Durant wasted so many possessions by forcing it. Should have had the ball in Irving's hands more. He shot 59%TS for the series overall. Irving was the best player on the team for that series. Means the #1 underperformed and cost them.
Even if you ignore context and call it a terrible series for Kyrie, he's had more good series than bad ones. At worst he's a neutral because of his injuries.

Yeah, zero chance you keep this same energy if Tatum went from 27 ppg in the reg to 21 ppg and getting swept. When it’s a player you like you break out every excuse.

Irving played 29 games that year and was a #2 option. He had some 50-60 point games in the RS that considerably bumped his averages in that small sample size.
If Tatum went from 27 ppg to 21 as a #1 option that means he'd have to have terrible shooting splits, in which case I'd crucify him. Kyrie averaged 21.3 ppg on 15.8 FGA. Mediocre series for him but by #2 standards it's definitely not bad for a 4-game sample size. He was the best player on his team and the 2nd best player in the series.
Point is that he's had more good series than bad ones.
