Unfortunately, Dallas gets smoked by Minny.. And this is from someone that would love to see Kyrie (and Luka) make the Finals.. But look at their roster - it's vastly inferior to Minny and I don't see them making up the talent gap with superior chemistry, basketball/brand of ball, or defense

Minny won't lose until the Finals, where their lack of actual plan to win will get exposed - I feel like they fly by the seat of their pants on offense - no real brand of ball - they're the "no pressure" team where no one on that team has any impending pressure to win this year like Luka, Kyrie, or Tatum does... They won't feel the squeeze until the FINALS - that's a completely different level where even a no-pressure team feels the squeeze and starts to look tentative and different.

Minny's stars are younger and kind of immature. Towns might foul out in a couple games and make a dumb play in crunch time because he struggles to lock in.

They have an edge defensively but Dallas has also been great on defense since March. Mavs have the two best clutch players in that series. They have a perimeter defender in PJ who can check Ant Man. They have size. They have the best player in that series in Luka. Denver had issues making open shots in that series and Murray struggled for the most part and they still found themselves in a G7 up 20 in the 2nd half before they flat out choked the game.

Luka will have to do an all time whine job to get players like Naz Reid and Jaden McDaniels in foul trouble.

Hopefully Maxi will be back and can have a series where he hits all the open 3s, so Gobert/KAT have to move out of the paint.

Lively, Gafford, Derrick Jones and PJ we’re looking forward to catching lobs against Denver … now they’re gonna be mostly neutralized unless Dallas has some intersecting rubs between cutters and corner shooters they can pull off during Luka and Kyrie drives.

Hardaway gonna need his 3pt and midrange game to be on point, cause Dallas paint point game is gonna take a hit against Minny.

If Dallas wins this WCF series, It’ll be from the 3pt line, and on defense.
And by the time the finals rolls around, Porzingis will be near full strength, which again, robs alot of lob attempts.
