Conference finals vs 1st round swept. I feel like Edwards has more impact.

Can't wait to see Ant lay an asswhoopin on Boston and watch you change your tune.

I like Edwards and I think the series goes 7. But Derrick white will be too much.

Edwards just won a game 7 on the road against the Champs where his teammates contributed 82 points on 61 TS and he himself scored 16 on 32 TS.... Let me repeat, 16 on 32 TS..... And his team won.
Jordan couldn't play like that as a 22 year old and win. His team sucked in comparison.

Let Ant win 2 championships in a row, heck... even a championship, first and we can start talking about MJ comparison.

You're comparing a 4th year team to a 1st year team - that isn't comparable
In Jordan's 4th healthy season (89'), he was nearly beating the champs with nothing and a low seed - the Bulls were the only team to win any games from the Pistons in the 89' Playoffs, and they would've won the series if Pippen didn't miss Game 6 when he played 1 minute.. And he effectively missed Game 5 as well (given his performance)..
It's funny how Phil is excused for losing in 1990 due to the "migraine", while Collins was fired despite having a worse version of Pippen (migraines every night).. Phil inherited a team that was on the cusp of a title as the only team in the league that was capable of winning any games off the champs - MJ did this with zero help in 1989.. Btw, if you want to use 88' as his 4th season, that's when he won MVP/DPOY and carried an 8 ppg sidekick to 50 wins.

Edwards already has more than twice as many playoff wins at 22 than Jordan had by 25.

that's because KAT built a playoff team before Ant even got there and they were a playoff team again before Ant was even the team's best player - Ant didn't take the team over until his 3rd season, so he was completely coddled compared to Jordan's path... ONLY JORDAN had to develop teammates, teams, and franchises, while everyone else was gifted goat franchises (Bird), goat teammates (Magic), or goat teams (KD)... Everyone else falls into one of more of these groups - we know that Lebron hand-picked the preseason favorite for 6 straight years from 2011-2016 and then again in 2020 and 2021... Bron shunned the "normal" 1 franchise player model and pursued better casts by having 3 franchise players on 1 team (super-team).

MJ answered all the questions. It will take a career to see if someone matches up to him, not just a year or a couple of years or a few years.

Kobe & Bron had a lot more wins at the same age too. Winning 6 is hard.
MJ is the GOAT for a reason.

Can we just let players be who they actually are?

Yes this thread is really, really dumb even for ISH.
Jordan had a NCAA chip by age 22 and was coming off a season (85-86) where he missed 64 games. Unless of course you're saying vs. Michael's rookie year (84-85).
Either way, Mike had powerhouses like Orlando Woolridge on his team, and the year before (83-84) Chicago was 27-55. With just Woolridge Joran improved them to 38-44; an 11 game improvement.
While I love Edwards; he had a sidekick All-Star (KAT), the DPOY (Gobert) plus the 6th man of the year on his squad..
You'd have to be on the far wrong side of the spectrum to even entertain such a comparison.

Would be a nice change of pace, right? Jesus H Christ these comparisons are tiresome and lead nowhere.

Penny Hardaway was an All-Star and in the NBA Finals when he was roughly the same age as Anthony Edwards too, I mean this stuff doesn't really mean that much, some guys are able to be on better teams earlier in their careers than others, that's just basically the luck of the draw, doesn't tell you much more than that.
Wolves were underrated because they play in a non-sexy market but that roster is good. Now that they've beaten Denver they're getting a lot of press they should have gotten before. KAT is a 4x All-Star, they got the 6th man of the year, they have a DPOY multiple time winner and also multiple time All-Star in Gobert, Conley is good veteran leadership and they have even other good players past that.
Jordan didn't have a team that good until 1991.
