What do you do, as the defense?

-Foul
-Give open 2 pointer and guard the 3 point line.
-Play man to man defense and hope they miss the 3 pointer

Obviously, I just finished watching the Pacers-Celtics game.
Why were the Pacera running around the court when only. 3 pointer can hurt them?

Nah Brown did a good job getting separation so that as soon as he caught the ball he could start a shooting motion if he wanted. By the time Siakam got there he was risking a four point play.

I agree with you it makes sense in certain situations but it was too risky on the catch and shoot IMO.

Why are you even guarding inside the 3 point line. For what?
He got screen by the foul line ... why.

Open 2 pointer can hurt as well. After they make the 2, you get fouled. So now you are up 1 with 4 seconds left and have to make 2 free throws. The odds of making both FTs is only ~50% if the guy is a 70% FT shooter.
