Sabonis is an absolute horse in the regular season, plays 82 games full throttle and can score, pass and rebound. Outside of Fox, who had a down year compared to last, the Kings dont have a ton on the roster. Monk is a nice sixth man, but in the bloodbath West the Kings stayed in the hunt largely because of Domas. I dont have a problem with the 1st team nba vote or the 4th place mvp vote.

The defense thing is just WEIRD. If he's trolling, it's kind of unprofessional. If he's serious, because he has that much of an obsession with Sabonis? It should be looked into.

But the guy shouldnt be voting or these teams shouldnt exist if youre really just gonna allow such silliness.

In this past regular specifically? Having him as high as 4-5 is clearly a stretch, but not EGREGIOUS. He carries a big offensive load on a so-so roster and the Kings were competitive. He massacred “elite defender AD” on a routine basis. It’s an outlier opinion to have him quite that high but it’s not completely out of left field. He had a VERY good regular season and again, played all 82. Availability is critical for players on fringe contenders trying to push through the logjam.

Putting him third for DPOY specifically is obviously about some kind of ulterior angle.
