Have you forgotten that "little" thing called Covid-19 when most businesses were shut down - when people were losing jobs left and right because of covid? We were already coming out of the pandemic when Biden irresponsibly spent another (unnecessary) $1.9 trillion dollars with the American Rescue Plan - not to mention his Inflation Reduction Act (LOL), infrastructure bill, chips act and ill-fated Build Back Better - all when INFLATION is a KNOWN problem. Let's not forget his student debt "forgiveness". What do you think all this spending with a proposed $7 TRILLION budget (will) cause - never-ending INFLATION.

Please don't insult me with the Biden has brought the deficit down every year since Trump argument - I (and millions of Americans) KNOW what I SEE at the grocery store and gas station and every time I pay my many insurances whether it be auto, house, long term care - everything has sky-rocketed.

I disagree. When Trump signed the CARES Act (Senate [including Biden] voted 96-0), INFLATION (1.5%) was NOT a problem and the economy had been shut-down - people were losing jobs left and right. Look at what the inflation has been under Biden and he KEEPS SPENDING and WANTS TO SPEND MORE - $7 TRILLION proposed budget.

The point is that inflation was not a problem when Trump spent - while Biden (KNOWING that inflation is a problem) CONTINUES to SPEND and keeps making things WORSE. It does not matter how high the Fed Reserve raises interest rates if the government KEEPS SPENDING like a drunken sailor.

Of the last 16 presidents, 8 have been republican and 8 dem. The only republican to leave office with a smaller deficit than when they came in is Eisenhower. Yes, its a phenomenon we havent seen in 60 years. Bush had record spending, but in Trump’s defense Bush had 2 terms to do it. Trump is a “hold my beer” level federal spender, so when FISCAL CONSERVATIVES vote for these guys I’m thoroughly confused.
