A day or two ago an argument after the fact was going on about whether or not Jaylen Brown was worth his deal. I was on the opposite side of where I'm about to be in this discussion. Honestly I wouldn't want him at all. Hes an All-Star but he misses a lot of games and then when you're in the playoffs He's had a lot of bad moments. The Clippers should have been contenders for several years now but due to the unreliability of their stars they have never lived up to their promise. I would only overpay a guy like George to keep a great team together. This is not a great team. Break it up.

Only a fool would give this guy another max 4 year deal. Some team will do it. Bad NBA front offices always do.

Might be a gamble worth taking for a team on the cusp. Like Philly or something...

Playoff p:lol
Always injured or flat out stinks in the playoffs..
clippers would be smart to blow the shit up. As bad as it sounds just keep Hardon and westbrick, add a few pieces and be done with wayoff p and kawhit. ESPECIALLY kawhit. What a loser

If other teams can offer 4yrs 212(looking at Philly maybe Orlando?)not a good spot for the clippers. I don’t blame the clips for not wanting to give him more than kawhi. However he lowkey had a great year top 10 in epm played in the playoffs so he’s gonna get 4yrs 212. Clips gotta hope for a s/t with a worse third star kawhi/harden aren’t winning it in this league

The article says the Clips are unwilling, not PG.

Kind of the same thing unless I’m reading something wrong. They won’t go higher and he won’t accept it.

In the JB thread it seemed a few people had a hard time grasping that a player could be offended and move on because they aren't being offered top dollar even though no one else can offer more. This illustrates that.

other teams can offer more here is the difference, says directly in article 4yrs 212 is possible. thats more than 3yrs 153

I wouldn't pay him $5 to play on my team. He's just not a winning player.

I can see Philly doing it out of desperation.
The alternatives for them are all pretty ugly.. like resigning Tobias, or bringing in DeMar DeRozan. Or remaing cap-locked, resign everyone and then hard capping themselves with sign and trade(s).

I think he can be, just perhaps not in the role hes accustomed to as a 1a or 1b.
He’s not an elite player but he’s not a locker room cvnt or a net negative on the court. On a value contract as a role player you wouldnt take PG at all? Thats nonsense.
Obviously hes gonna get a max and probably expect to be a featured guy, which Im not convinced is a winning plan. But I think youre overdramatizing a bit.
