Jimmy didn’t have to do him like that. Not surprised Hoiberg went back to coaching college after that. They probably don’t speak to you that way in Nebraska.

I heard an executive on a different podcast talking about this issue. It doesn’t matter at all what you know. If the players and more specifically the stars, don’t respect you then you can’t be a good coach in the NBA. The players are just too powerful.

I remember thinking Fred would be a good coach based on some things I saw from him in college and reports on his offense.

I feel for some of these guys. Career ruined by a personality clash.

Seems it’s Just Jimmy’s personality though. We have seen him go at Spo even harder. But he has the complete backing of the whole franchise. If it’s you or him he’s gonna win that battle. I don’t think even LeBron could’ve gotten Spo fired. If you don’t have that Spo/Pop made man status you just don’t win those battles.

I’ve read that once you hit a certain number of subscribers the ad read money is a lot better than you would think. It’s a legitimate second career for guys heading into retirement. But yes, we don’t need all these. I guess I can understand. The pension money doesn’t kick in for quite a while and a few hundred thousand can definitely help maintain if you aren’t one of the super paid guys.
