The last NBA All-Star Game to play on terrestrial or regular television was way back in 2002.
I always found it weird that the only major league sports to not broadcast All-Star Game on regular TV was the NBA.

With the league now moving away from Turner (crazy), it will no doubt move to ABC or NBC.

I can see them moving All-Star Saturday Night to regular TV as well.

Scrap the game and keep the IST.

The All-Star game is the lamest part of the entire season.

How's ratings since though? Has it been good enough or bad enough to be on regular TV?

Usually, if the viewership is low it will be put on the paywall. I guess it hasn't been good.

Insane idea that will never happen and I'm not going to seriously argue for but might work: let players publicly bet on the allstar game. Just win or lose, no prop bets. And they can't bet for the other team. Some still wouldn't care (especially if they don't bet) but the ones that do will play hard and that will influence some of the guys that weren't going to care before as well, hard play can be infectious.

ESPN and Amazon are other options. Either way at this point I don't think anything can salvage the all-star game. You can attach gimmicks, weird rules, roster builds etc but none of it will matter if the players aren't interested. And they haven't been for years now.
