Not to beat a dead 3ball horse, but lets be real, Lebron having Kyrie and Love on Cavs is way better than Luka having Kyrie and PJ Washington.

Love back then was coming off a 25-14 season if I recall, 2nd team(?) and some MVP votes.

Instead of PJ Washington, who would a similar player be? Maybe KAT?

And Lebron did do the same thing with Miami and Bosh.

Good call and I agree.

Imagine Luka, Kyrie, Domantas.

Dynasty.

Lebron really did stack the deck like no one had or has since.

0% chance that fat Euro slob is beating the 2017 Warriors.

The duo of Lively/Gafford in the playoffs has been as valuable as Kevin Love on the Cavs. I would argue more.

They're both fantastic finishers around the rim and on defense they are really really good just without the hype of the media. If you break it down they are borderline dominant defensively. Great time protectors around the hoop and can play in space on the perimeter, especially Lively. They are also very active on the boards.

I see Lively having a higher ceiling than Nikola Vučević

Gafford is your Reggie Evans/Drew Gooden/Taj Gibson type of big

Yea this is something that people tend to gloss over in their crusade against Lebron. Having a combination of Lively/Gafford on a team with Luka and Kyrie as the 1/2 is probably more valuable than what having Kevin Love in place of them would be.

Bosh was a little different because when he become the 3rd guy he was able to expand on and focus on others things he was good at.

Someone being a superior 1st option doesn't automatically mean that what they can do is more valuable when they're the 3rd guy.

Wade's knee stopping him from being an elite rebound is underlooked for Bosh. Haslem was hurt in the 11 campaign. again, LaMarcus Aldridge was another guy that was compared to Bosh, and Bosh just took a beating in that poorly built Heat front court for the sake of friendship

Mozgov certainly isn't someone worth mentioning. Probably wouldn't see playing time on the Mavericks right now.

Either way. Doesn't change what I've said.

In his last season in Minny before playing with LeBron James, Kevin Love averaged 26.1/12.5/4.4/.591 TS%

The only 2 players to ever have that stat line are

We have epm for those years now. Love wasn’t as good his numbers in 14(bad defense) like a +4, better than his numbers from 15-18 he was a 2.5-3 during RS. Would be like adding porzingis right now

During '16 & '17 playoff I think Love performed around KAT or Aaron Gordon in 2024 playoff.

In the '18 playoff though, he was worse than PJ Washington today.

Mozgov was good in the first year he was there, particularly the finals.

Kevin Love was injured or played trash for much of 2 separate championship runs. He shot like 37% from the field in 2 championship runs and 40% on the last one. Way worse than whatever you're trying to suggest in this thread.

The stupidity of NBA fans is comical.
