I havent seen one announced on the broadcast so far, so allow me to nominate an UNOFFICIAL razor brand of the 2024 NBA Finals.

Guys, it's Blade In America (bladeinamerica.com).

The razor company seeking to rebuild American industry with cleaner energy and an American workforce.

The concept is simple. Rising energy costs make the viability of shipping raw materials across the pacific and BACK to the US as products impractical and unsustainable. Moreover, emerging technology will allow America to reintegrate domestic factories without the type of pollution associated with industrial plants of the 60s. Further still, we will no longer be dependent on foreign labor, nor enrich foreign governments who are unreliable at best and hostile at worst. Without financial entanglement with foreign nations, we can focus strictly on areas of cooperation like the planet, the olympics, whatever non-economy mutual interests we share.

As you know I invested capital into a wholesale supply of shaving razors to help bring this idea to market. The steel is 100% American, tho of course the plastic and rubber were manufactured overseas as their are currently no domestic alternatives. You cant buy American made razors... yet. But THIS company will direct revenue toward establishing that next generation of cutting edge US manufacturing, so that one day you may buy American razors. From shaving razors it will be an easy transition to kitchen cutlery and so on. America produces plenty of steel. We might as well return to manufacturing it here, using all the efficiency gains we've made over time. And we shall.

I dont want this first post to be too long, but I'll add some further deets throughout the thread, and also drop some thoughts on the NBA Finals. Feel free to use this post AND the game thread kind of interchangeably.

If you're not really keen on copping razors at this point in time, but you like the idea and are interested in supporting it, please check out GoFundMe.com/blade-in-america.

If this isnt really your cup of tea but you do feel like "hey, this guy's shared some good insights over the years, he's brought the humor, I'd be willing to help him out just on a personal level, because I know that when he becomes extremely successful he'll have my back, because he's always been a fair and well intentioned guy" well that would be terrific, and you can do so directly on paypal with the email vxsandman@gmail.com

Thanks guys.

I had to put this project on hold for a couple years to focus on some other things but I am back in with both feet. And in fact I'm more confident than ever in this vision. I have to even give myself a bit of credit for thinking of this well before it became as clear as it is now that we're moving in this direction. I just felt like this would be such an obvious win for everyone in the long term, even before recent economic and geopolitical factors were making it that much more certain.

I welcome you to join me on this journey, ISH.

I'm excited to see how the Mavs bounce back tonight. I think they're gonna be ready with a few answers. Kyrie's not likely to struggle the way he did in Game 1 again. And Luka will be presumably be less sloppy with the turnovers.

Keep in mind Game 2 has been the Mavs strength and the Celtics weakness. Boston has rarely gone up 2-0 at home the last few years, even in series they were clearly favored. Their consistency at home has been dubious.

That said I dont think the temptation to ease up in Game 2 will be there against this Mavs the way it was against Miami or Indiana for instance. I think Boston will come out focused and ready.

Should be a good one.

You gotta admit buying some whatever brand razor from a dutch company like Unilever or a french company like Bic just doesnt hit the same as the possibility of buying your shaving products from an American company with American workers supplying American factories. It's not even about 'rah rah 'Merica' type stuff, but just embracing the health and sustainability of our nation and allowing that security to translate back into greater quality of life for us as individuals. We dont have to do it as a way to compete with other countries. We should do it as a way to compete with ourself. See how healthy and strong we can make our home together. Embrace the bond of building a richer society for all.

Let's do it yall.

Why did you retire Fultz?

One of the all time ISH blunders. Bring it back.

The good news for Dallas is theyre more or less playing with house money at this point. Winning the West already exceeded this seasons expectations for them, if they lose in the Finals to what is essentially an allstar team they can still feel good this summer.

They just dont look like they match up well with the Celtics. Most teams dont, and if one of the teams who does had knocked Boston out earlier, Dallas could well be on the way to a chip. It’s all about matchups in the playoffs. But runner up isnt bad given their overall age and inexperience in the playoffs. Theyll contend again next year. It was a good season for them on the whole.

That said Im not entirely counting them out, but this isnt a case of the series being closer than 2-0 suggests. The Celtics look poised to win it.

What products and brands do you guys usually shave with?

tbh that is one of the best usernames ever and its irony has only increased in the years as fultz has faded away into obscurity. aged like fine wine. I just looked it up and he’s only 25 yesrs old, that is surprising to me, if I didn’t know better I would have said he’s damn near 30. Feels like he’s that long away.
