View Full Version : Boston v. Dallas Finals - After game 2, who is the FMVP so far?

Could the Unicorn get it? Prior to the series I'd have said Tatum would be a lock if Boston wins it all, but his 6-22 tonight (18 pts) & 6-16 game 1 (16 pts) aren't that impressive. 17 pts per game average on 12 for 38 or 31.6% from the floor.

Who does everyone have so far for FMVP? Could this be the first year they give it to a player on the losing team since 1969?

Or will Tatum get hot in game 3/4 and erase how bad he's been so far, and thus win it?

Right now I think it's Jrue, but I don't have confidence in that holding up. If I had to bet on it, I'd pick Brown to be FMVP if the Celtics win.

Jaylen Brown is the clear FMVP right now.

Depends on who becomes the Cs main hero for the remaining games. But from what we've seen so far...

G1: KP
G2: Holiday
G3 & so on: TBD

Right now after two games I’m leaning toward Lebron as FMVP in absentia.

We’ll see what happens the rest of the way.

Guys, with no clear cut candidate on the Celtics, what do we think of a 'lifetime achievement' fmvp for Big Al?

Celtics are a different team when KP is on the floor, he’s clearly their best player. The caveat is ‘when he’s on the floor’.

If Kyrie keeps choking, then Jrue deserves the Iggy/Kawhi award, because without Kyrie, Mavs stand no chance.

Brown was not nearly as good in game 2 as he was in game 1.

As of now, Brown and Jrue with one vote each. It's still up for grabs.

I don't know about best player, but he's clearly the difference between a 'pick em' series and an inevitable Celtics victory. Doesn't help that Kyrie is well under par two games in. Hopefully Dallas can even it up at home and make it a series.

Hypothetical question: How much of a joke would 2024 finals be remembered as if Jrue Holiday is the FMVP? Good player but it seems weird.

You should always root for the guys that got jobbed out by that dumpster fire of a team in Philly.
