They offered six years 70 million and he said “**** it, if you havent given LeKing a decent supporting cast in 5 years you never will. Im staying at Uconn”
It’s time for Bron too to say **** you to AD and Pelinka’s “war room”, and go find a worthy organization to take his talents to.

He should have taken it then actually coach Lebron until bron gets fed up and forces him out.
Free money.

Probably isn't worth the PTSD and risk to mental health that comes from coaching LeToxic and the nightly abuse from the Laker cesspool fanbase.

He made the right decision because he can make comparable money staying at uconn after 2 ncaa titles. The Lakers were cheap not offering him a deal that would set a new record for nba coaching salary.

they said $100 Mil initially. reduced that to $70 mil.
nonetheless, does this 2 x champ wanna deal with 2 pre-madonnas. LePEDs and AD. Both pair of marries.
always looking to blame the coach for every loss. getting coaches fired. Getting Klutch media attacking everything head coach does.
No amount of toxic atmosphere is worth LAL. the worst franchise in NBA imo right now.

its the best decision for both to me
putting a reforming coach like Hurley in Lebron's last years is a bad move - Hurley would be put in a lose/lose position and not be good for his future NBA endeavors as Lebron will do as he pleases and Hurley will get little to no relevance even if they seemingly win a title together.
Lakers blew it when they had the opportunity to sign Ty Lue the many years back as it appeased all ends and this is their fate now in coaches entering a revolving door.
Lakers would be smart and just go all-in with every Lebron-appeasing decision until he calls it quits - marketing wise it works, and even if it comes at a bit of leveraging the future some, it will pay off in the end. Lakers will always find a way to recover the setbacks, they are their own golden ticket.
