How come it's not a huge deal when this happens to PEAK Luka? It was for Old man LeGramps :oldlol:

Remember when Mario Hezonja got the boost to block Bron? :oldlol:
When are we going to have a guy just piggy backing or just shoulder riding on a big to catch lobs all day? Are we in the primitive pre-piggyback era?

I had a multiple post argument earlier this week where another poster was swearing that Doncic was playing defense this season. I didn't buy it by I was guilty of quoting some stats without even looking at the page (a mistake I made because I was that sure that he's a terrible defender). So I decided to observe his defense a little more closely. And he still isn't good... but he does it a little more than I thought. What he is is spotty. Sometimes he does try but an explosive athlete (JB) will beat him consistently and he will often use defensive possessions to rest. The fault here less in both he him myself as well as his team. His conditioning is terrible by the standards of superstars. He's not in the shape a guy needs to be in to carry an offense all game long. It wasn't as apparent earlier because Minnesota only had two guys trying to do anything with the ball so he was allowed to stand in place at the three point line. Anyone that thinks Mazzulla is a bad coach should take note that unlike Finch the Celtics are making Doncic work and that's why game two he started looking like he could get 80 but ended the game with 32. There are 2 big benefits to making Doncic work on d: you are going to get some easy scores out of it and he'll score less when he's tired. Would have been interesting to see what happens vs. the Clippers if Leonard didn't get hurt or if Minnie knew how to do something other than give the ball to Edwards.
Side note: at the end of the Wolves series Mike Finley was seen on camera taking a beer seat from Doncic. I have no info about that beyond that but wonder if there's more to that story. You would think that if Devin Booker wanted a beer after a win they would let him have it.

Because Luka isn't lauded as a good defender. Duh.

Op, eventually it's going to be comically clear to everyone that most things in basketball aren't a big deal unless it happens to/with/for Lebron. Just wait till he retires lol.
