Has to happen sometimes right?
Can new Magic make it happen?

Not having Porzingis bothers me but I have faith in the Celtics leadership. JB seems well suited to the role and Horford has always been a good guy to have around.

It will definitely happen one day involving a team's star getting injured/suspended and/or the other team's star returning from suspension/injury.

Too many slashers. Too much ball movement.

If the league lets Lebron suit up for Dallas it would be a 100% lock, but short of that there is no chance.

When a series ends in a sweep it's either because the matchup is lop-sided or the teams are relatively even, but one team had several things go their way in the closing minutes of a couple of the games.
Similar, if a team is down 0-3 they're either being outclassed or unlucky. If they're outclassed, they aren't winning 4 in a row. If they're unlucky, it's likely the other 4 games will be fairly close and very unlikely that they'll win all 4.
So it won't happen unless something like what's already been mentioned happens where the team that is down has a superstar player come back in game 4 and completely switches the tide.
No. Dallas might win the next one out of desperation but it's over.
Hard to imagine they win four games in a row when they're mostly exhausted already, unless something really bad happens with the Cs. Maybe they can win two games from here at the most.

No chance. The Mavs made a big run last game when Boston resorted back to their bad habit of taking long jumpers off the dribble. If Boston plays smart Dallas has no answers for them.
they got bodied every single game
OP you're funny :oldlol:

I'm sure there'll eventually be the perfect storm for a team to make an 0-3 comeback, but nothing we've seen so far has suggested it's brewing in this series. The Celtics have controlled this series from the get-go, and Dallas isn't showing any signs of figuring it out.
Until—unless—the Mavericks steal at least two games, this will just feel like the umpteenth "if so and so comes back from 0-3" thread we've had on this board alone. It reminds me of all the longshot hypotheticals we once heard about teams "possibly" beating the '17 Warriors, for example.

Its... not as far fetched as people seem to think it could be.
Game 5 will basically be Game 7.

I'd say Game 6 will be Game 7. IF....if....if...the Mavs get the next game...the Celtics best be careful.

Tbf, we JUST saw the Celtics go down 3-0 last year, win the next 2, then win Game 6 in the most heartbreaking fashion possible for the Heat, to get a Game 7 at home with all the momentum, only to get curbstomped.
I admit, if the Mavs win Game 5 this will certainly get interesting, but, not to state the obvious, it's very fvcking difficult to pull this off, esp as the clearly inferior team talent wise without HCA.

154-0 is not great odds.
On the other hand, if you want to show the world you could be the GOAT, then why not break a record that no other great has done?
As far as I see it, Celtics without KP is a different team, simply. They can no longer take away the penetration and the lobs.
3 more in a row? Well.. that would be worthy of a young goat.

If Celtics get another bad break, like a small time injury or a flagrant or something like that. Someone sleeping with someone's wife.
That could do it, but you can't and shouldn't hope for that.

Not having Porzingis bothers me.
As it should.
Boston is a great perimeter defensive squad.
But Derrick White only weighs 188lbs.
He can block the shots of PG often.
But in the paint, against big boys, he can only get sneak up help blocks.
Tillman is heavy, but has no verticality to protect the rim.
Tillman is only a tiny bit bigger than Luka when they stand next to each other.
Horford old af, and not that vertically capable anymore.
If Tatum and Brown are their best rim protectors against a much bigger Dallas team, hell bent on playing big boy ball….. with LUKA getting the vast majority of his shots after getting both feet in the paint …. They will have to shoot the lights out to beat that.
So… seems impossible.
Historically & all that.
But Fkk that…..
…. Bout to be THREE UGLY BIG BOY GAMES.

Has a team ever even forced a Game 7 after being down 0-3?
The pressure would be ridiculously immense.

Celtics/Heat last year. Other than that I’m not sure.
