He was good for 15/10 and guarded the best big man and protected the paint every night.
I believe only Moses had more rebounds in the 80's.

When I think Bad Boys, it is Thomas and Laimbeer, as so say the NBA Jam.

Depends on what year. We talking '88 & '89? Then yes. Rodman surpassed him as a player in '90.

I'd say
1. Isiah
2/3. Dantley/Dumars

Nope!
1. Zeke (FMVP)
2. Dumars (FMVP)
3. Demolition Man (DPOY, DPOY)

For the Bad Boys and the team...he was better than Isiah. Isiah was the playmaking that gave you that boost...but Laimbeer was the guy who you won or lost the games with.
He wasn't as good as Aguirre, Dantely, Isiah, or Dumars but for the Pistons and them winning the title he was the reason.
He is in my opinion the greatest player not in the Hall of Fame
they aint the bad boys if laimbeer wasn't part of that team. dumars was too nice. rodman was too quiet. laimbeer talked the shit you expected him to talk and he gave no fks.

Laimbeer was the definitive Bad Boy. He ticks every box.
Tough as nails.
Worked hard.
Dirty bastard.
Complete asshole.
Good player.
Hated by everyone, players and fans, outside Detroit.
Talked shit on the court and in the press.
Didn't give a single **** what anybody thought of him.

I feel as if Laimbeer is the fall guy for Isiah Thomas. Isiah always refers to Laimbeer when people want to call him out for being a thug. Laimbeer is the perfect diversion, typical Chad white collar guy, but dirty as ****.

When I think of the pistons
Isiah - little shit
Mahorn - thug
Rodman - emo creep
Salley - minion
Laimbeer - dickish Yuppie scum
Dumars - the you don't even go here kid
Dantely - whinny dick
And yes this is my favorite team of all-time

This is a fun and good question. Obviously Isiah Thomas and Joe dumars were the two best but I can't remember if laimbeer was third best or not

Few even know who James Edwards was but he actually had plays run for him. He, Dantley, and then Aguirre are largely ignored historically but they got a lot more touches than people today would assume.

Out of the three, I feel Aguirre gets ignored the most considering the caliber of player he was in his prime. Although it is amusing seeing Rick Mahorn being mentioned a lot when the bad boy pistons get brought up, but the Pistons chose to protect James Edwards while they allowed an expansion team to draft Mahorn.

Edwards played from the 70s to KG turnaround jumpers and tough finishes in traffic busting our ass and the Knicks in the playoffs

Absolute historical nobody.
Not that he was a star. But he was a lot more than he’s remembered(not at all). He was a legit go to guy at times for the Pistons.
They had a weird dynamic. Isiah would go to whoever had it. Role player might get fed all night. They really didn’t seem to give a shit.

He's like Jordan Poole or Wiggins. Terrible player but can be a go to guy and get some numbers.
