Only the GOAT could win with a sidekick that wasn't capable of 30-pt playoff games... :confusedshrug:

Among notable 90's sidekicks, Pippen had the worst efficiency, passing, clutch and also the lowest peak capability (couldn't get 30), which is why Shaq famously said that Pippen wasn't on scouting reports - teams didn't have to double his weak scoring capability or close out on his historically-low efficiency and bricklaying - so he wasn't on scouting reports except that he afforded opposing coaches the rare luxury of sagging off and packing the paint for MJ's drives.

Ultimately, only MJ was forced to defeat maximum defensive attention (carry scoring load) for every series, title run or Finals of his career.. Anyone that won with Pippen would need to average over 30 in the playoffs against packed paints and 10 more than their sidekick in every series - only MJ could do that.

It's remarkable because the only guys that Pippen outscored were guards that were underperforming against MJ (Dumars, Starks, Price, Harper, Stockton, Porter, Hornacek, Steve Smith, etc), while getting destroyed by his own matchup and opposing SF's such as Johnny Newman, Aguirre, Nance, X-Man, Dominique, Larry Johnson, Schrempf, Juwan Howard, Glen Rice and many more.

Knowing how much Chicago scorekeepers loved MJ and hated Pippen, I'm now convinced Pippen had more 30 point games than that.

Why does Pippen hates Chicagoans so much?

Quitted on Team and fans AT HOME in 1994 Game 3.

Said, he hated playing for them and always wanted to force a trade.

1998 Pippen went even further said, "he rather rest in regular season" (aka. punish Chicagoans) than ruin his 1998 summer

Has there ever been more "selfish" player in NBA history than Pippen?

And its not like Pippen was losing every season and made a 'scapegoat' to all MJ failures!

Being a lifelong NYK fan, this ungrateful loser has no idea how good he had it (career wise).

If pippen never played alongside MJ, no one will ever remember him.

“I saw it over and over, from the first training camp in 1987 to the last victory rally in 1998. Here’s how it worked: Say I deflected the ball and tapped it over to him. I should get credit with the steal, right? Nope. More often than not, the steal went into his column on the stat sheet, and I could do nothing about it.

“One night, a scorekeeper came into the locker room after the game to hand the stat sheets to Phil Jackson and the coaching staff. The sheet breaks down the points, rebounds, assists, steals, blocked shots, turnovers, and so on for everyone who played the game. I couldn’t believe the look the guy gave Michael: ‘See MJ, we take care of you.’ No wonder in the nine full seasons we played together, he averaged more steals than me in every year except two.”

Ouch, looks like Pippen was telling the truth.
