I don't know if Shaq would have even been allowed to start today. The guy has a diva mentality and couldn't shoot freethrows. Even in a system that was favorable to him where they were able to build expansion team around him his ego would still have had him chasing big money.

Also think of all the times he quit in the playoffs and his team got swept. We just ignore that today but what would social media and youtube culture think of a player who quits on his team and can't control his weight and is more focused on putting out crappy movies, albums, and video games.
