I could see that deal making sense for both.

Red Velvet's a decent all around player but too often his shooting disappears at inopportune times and that really hampers his value.

I could see him having to make a stop in basketball purgatory for a year or two until he gets his shooting together.

Adding young talent like this when you're paying Victor and others big contracts will be crucial with the new CBA.

They are just flat out loaded with draft picks going forward. Build through the draft. They gotta hit on some of these picks but it's the right approach for a small market like SA that never get big name free agents

Spurs have a history of finding elite players in the bowels of any draft. I have a hard time believing they couldn't find someone at number f***ing 8 even in this draft that gives them the value they need immediately and not some prayer 8 years down the line when the front office has a different staff, their scouting talents are gone and Wemby is much older.

If they traded out of #8 it's a pretty good indication they didn't love anyone that was left. No point taking a guy just to take him.

It's a great fit. Jaren Jackson Jr. and Marcus Smart are ideal defenders to pair with Zach. And his elite screening, rolling, finishing, foul-drawing, and offensive rebounding bodes well not only for Ja Morant's game but Taylor Jenkins' possession-focused scheme.

Well Giddey definitely isnt small in the paint, he's actually pretty big for a guard and a solid finisher.

Anyway Topic doesnt look all that impressive to me personally on the highlights. Practically every single highlight I'm seeing is a basic straight line drive or a pull up jump shot. I dont really see any examples of any kind of creativity either as a ball handler or a passer. He propels his way into the paint with a strong lower body but otherwise feels kinda robotic.

But hey I've been wrong before and I've been right before. Anything's possible.

He does look like a perfect fit running swing for LeKing tho.

Very curious to see what the Jazz roster is going to look like because they've got real depth now. Filipowski with Kessler and Lauri Utah managed to get the most athletic and mobile 7 footer as their third draft pick.
