Bron is my guy, but I was saying YEARS ago that Bronny is not an NBA caliber prospect. SO many people just wanted to believe the hype so they made up their minds that Bronny MUST be an elite player.
But he isn't, and never was at any level. Even before his health incident, but now you add that in, plus his bad freshman year, and it's painfully obvious this kid isn't NBA ready at all, like not even close.
Bronny is already set for life with fame and fortune, and seeing him take up a draft spot of other "normal" kids would be really fuked up when you think about it. So many of the NBA prospects grew up dirt poor and they need every chance they can get to make it to the NBA. The NBA should NOT be a charity or a place that is just filled with the sons of NBA players.

You're right. It's not a charity. It's a BUSINESS. And Bronny James moves the needle. He's who America wants to see. HE will sell out arenas. HE will move merch. HE will draw ratings.
He deserved to go first overall just on merit as a player, he was #1 on my big board, he's now slid a little bit but I still expect a team to understand his commercial value to a franchise.
He's him, and HE'S.
GOT.

You are claiming the most prestigious basketball association in the world is just low brow entertainment. This is a major problem, and honestly this is due to two things. Too many casual fans who don't really care or watch the NBA consistently, and too much money.
I would LOVE if it Bronny was actually a legit 1st round prospect. It would make him and Lebron playing on the same court MEANINGFUL.
But the way it's just being forced now, makes it a hollow, low brow moment.

Lol the Lakers actually drafted him.
Curious to see if Bronny EVER steps foot onto the court with Lebron.
Honestly Bronny get his shit lit up every day is practice is going to be awkward. In fact, the whole thing is awkward, like what are Lebron's teammates thinking???

What's really annoying is the NBA has so many dumb/casual fans that you are going to see a lot of people who actually think this is a "legendary" moment when it's just completely forced and undeserved. Bronny has done NOTHING to prove he is worth a pick.

55th pick to resign Lebron is worth it.

Bronny can defend, he's not going to get lit up. The question mark is his offense.
And he will answer the challenge like a BAWSE!
He'll play in the g-league first.

There is no data to suggest he is an elite defender, it's just what the media says because all the other quantifiable parts of basketball show Bronny as bad.
Also, small guards have the LEAST defensive impact in the NBA. So even if he was a good defender for a guard, that's still average defensive "impact".

He's 19 and they will try develop him. If it doesn't work out who cares? You used almost the last pick in the second round and LeBron stayed. Big deal.
Nothing against OP but the thread reeks of attention seeking.
