Kinda came from left field but that's a pretty good signing IMO. Looks like he's gonna replace DJJ.

Similar player but slightly better across the board offensively, either with the ball in his hands or shooting from outside. He should make their offense just that little bit more dynamic outside of Luka and Kyrie.

Nice pickup it seems. Another solid move by Nico.

Lebron deserved to have him sign in LA.

He can play and very hard nosed, hustle type. Can knock down the 3 as well. Great for the Mavs. Definitely an underrated player.

Losing DJJ sucks though.

Can he knock down the 3 though? I know he shot it well this past season, but it was on low volume before that he's been an absolute brick. I wouldn't count on it, personally.

Much better at that than DJJ and would have been as or more consistent than Washington was in the later series for sure.

Based off one year on low volume? Pretty similar to DJJ career wise. PJ had a shitty year shooting, but he has also had good ones.

Who?

Why the **** did they just not pay DJJ what he wanted

Dallas have now lost their best defender for nothing

I hear you, but they still have a good backline defense with Gafford/Lively at C and Washington/Kleber at PF.

I think offensively they really needed a third guy who could do SOMETHING with the ball in his hands. Marshall aint a world beater but he still becomes their clear third best bucket getter. Which tells you how bad the Mavs were hurting there. He may not have DJJ quickness defensively but I dont think hes a negative defender by any means. I personally think it's a swap that made sense for Dallas.

IF they do get Klay, AND his stroke is on point this year... Mavs should be pretty damn good once again.

DJJ was a good defender, but he absolutely sucked on offense in the finals. He is too limited for what he wants to get paid.

They got Klay, but imo I'd like some more rebounding on this team, but maybe Lively/Gafford is good enough. Lively probably starts.

Marshall is a better rebounder than DJJ, as well as a better passer, shooter, and cook. Also bigger and very much stronger than DJJ.

Marshall shot 79% from the foul line the last 3 years which is a pretty good indicator for 3 pt shooting potential.

Cool, I really have no idea what to expect from Marshall and Grimes, but judging by PJ and Gafford, I feel positive that Nico cooked up some talents again.
