Who's the more impactful defender overall in their prime - Kawhi or Draymond?

Obv Kawhi's the better player but as a defender, would you say Draymond's better?

Kawhi literally harassed peak prime LBJ in 2014 NBA Finals. and won FMVP over him.

2014 LBJ cringed every time he saw 'the klaw' come out on the floor marking him.

2016 Draymond went in opposite direction. Gifted LBJ a 73-9 season and CAVs, their maiden championship.

Kawhi wins again as a leader and a Raptor, giving franchise maiden championship with FMVP.

Draymond is just an overrated thug who would have been nothing had he not played with Splash brothers.

I doubt he would've ever won FMVP had he not been a warrior. Many of his serious offenses would've been held against him.

Media persons would've also voted against him.

dray. GS was a historically great playoff defense from 15-19 mostly because of draymond. Klay wasnt that special after 15,16. KD's fine but not a high impact defender. Iggy's great man defender but older by 17-19. Nothing gets overrated more than man to man defense. Kawhi was very good with spurs but that defense was anchored by duncan and had other good defenders and he's overvalued later in his career. raptors were 5th defense in 19 lost him and improved to 2nd in 2020.

It's one stat but by epm he's had 4 years above 4.0 on defense 15-17 and 22. Even when he's coasting and/or past his prime he's a +2-3, a top lvl defender and he steps it up always in playoffs. Kawhi has one year above +4 2015. Only defender from this generation on dray's lvl is gobert but he doesnt lead elite playoff defenses like draymond

2015 & 16 Kawhi is at least on par with Dray's peak as a defender tbh. I like pre-injury Kawhi more than Dray.
