that's because mj was too quick for the ref to see - it looked like he got fouled but it was really just mj with alien hangtime.
MJ averaged 31.7 and 6.3 apg and less turnovers (19.8 and 5.7 for Pippen with more turnovers)

Very Kobe-esque of Mj. Or was Kobe playing 4d chess and mimicking Mj all along?:biggums:

That's what a 1-man team looks like - 1 guy over 30 and everyone else below 20
The guy over 30 faces max defensive attention because there are no other good scoring threats, which reduces his efficiency.. But there are no other better options to take those shots because everyone else is at capacity (at their max statistical capability)...
MJ can maintain his 52% true shooting at higher volumes, while Pippen's 53% true shooting would fall to untenable levels with more FGA's
Btw, efficiencies were lower back then due to the tougher defensive environment - today's wide open spacing spoils new fans and makes them misperceive how hoops actually works

Peak Prime MJ never ever shooting less than 60%FG on today's no hand check, zero physicality, clear paint areas. open lanes to the basket.
we would've seen tons of 71%FG games by peak prime MJ even in today's playoffs. He was that tactical on offense. There were times he gave the ball up
deliberately to get it right back in better offensive position where double teams couldn't recover quickly enough.

Boom
I love those plays where he gives it up specifically to get it back real quick in a better spot where the defense is in trouble and can't react in time.

I'm only responding to this guy cause it's someone else's thread and came across this disingenuous take....
MJ vs. CLE '92 PS: 51% TS%
Pippen vs. CLE '92 PS: 54% TS%
Pippen put up 20/11/6/2/2 in that series including 29/12/5/4/4 on 55% TS% in game 6. A healthy Scottie Pippen was one of the greatest players of all time and everyone knows it.
Btw, in game 6, MJ put up 29/8/8/2/0 on 48% TS%. :lol

Unlike Lebron's sidekicks, Pippen wasn't a franchise player that was required to achieve elite stats that matched Lebron - Pippen was a secondary producer with low peak capability that forced MJ to defeat max defensive attention (carry scoring load).. In addition to Pippen's low scoring ability, he was a historic bricklayer and lane-clogger - his TS in the playoffs was below league-average for every year of his playoff career except years where he had no burden like 89', 90' and 01-03'.. The only exception is 91' - the only year where he had a regular burden and shot at or above league average.

Good stuff. Really good back and forth game.
Poor shooting from Price but he’s really fun to watch.
Great game for Pippen as well. Probably the best player on the court that night.
