The Sacramento Kings are acquiring free agent guard DeMar DeRozan via a three-year, $67 million sign-and-trade that includes moving forward Harrison Barnes to the San Antonio Spurs, sources told ESPN on Saturday.

The Kings are trading guard Chris Duarte, two second-round draft picks and cash to the Chicago Bulls as part of the deal too, sources said.

Miss out on what? Lakers need a big, a defender and a floor spacer. Derozan provides none of that.

I like this move because Sacramento's primary playmaker is a center. It makes for unique passing opportunities and cutting lanes. I hope DeMar is able to play off-ball more and increase his % of assisted 2pt FGM. His TS% could reach 60-62% TS if all goes well...

Kinda sucks to see Demar changing teams yet haven't had any luck to go for the championship yet. :(

Spurs get another 2030 unprotected first to facilitate this deal. They're absolutely loaded full of picks for the next 7 years.

Is Derozan gonna start at the four...?

Kings got one more move in them with huerter and 2 picks. Already have Ellis and monk. Think it’ll be like kuzma or cam Johnson

That was a given after Klay and Hield passed on us.

DeRozan isn't a good fit for our team though I'm okay with him going to the Queens.

lakers are clowns. they're going to see derozan cook them 4 times a year now when they play the kings.

I cant believe lebron and pelinka chose westbrook over derozan in the first place 3 years ago.

front office is honestly terrible including LeGM

Kuzma isnt really necessary with Fox, Derozan, Sabonis and Monk. They need a true 3&D now and some frontcourt depth.

Something like Dorian Finney Smith would be perf but I sort of doubt they have the assets to get him.

Or if Huerter could just figure out how to shoot consistently thatd be a start.

Probably replace Barnes finally.

Probably replace Barnes finally.

I guess so. Gonna be a pretty small lineup but I guess that's the way a lot of teams are going now.

I think this less a championship push and more a 30K push to make the HOF. He's 23.5 in points and he's sitting at 31 right now, certain guys get screwed over with their numbers...you're always going to have a Mark Jackson.

He's such a rock solid work horse and he's never played for a contender

I think it's fair to describe the 2017-18 Raptors as contenders, regardless of how the playoffs went. 59-23, #1 seed in the Eastern Conference, #2 seed in the NBA, 7.29 SRS, 2nd-best SRS in the NBA, +7.9 net rating, 2nd-best net rating in the NBA, 2nd-best offense, 5th-best defense.

He played the most minutes on that team. Definitely the best squad he's ever played on. Great depth.

Sabonis with DeRozan is going to be a deadly combo.

Probably, yes.

But the 17-18 Raptors were better than those Hawks.

15 Hawks were legitimately awesome in the regular season by all metrics. Dominant even. Not sure why they completely shit themselves versus the Cavs, getting swept without Love and Kyrie barely playing was truly sad. Mental issues I suppose. They did lack a true first option, which was a problem, but other than that they had all you want. Still, that's a pretty big thing to be missing unless you're the 04 Pistons.
