I don't think it has anything to do with hunger, you're not winning an arguement with an injured knee. No player in the history of the sport is going to make a bad knee work. Just unfortunate, he's a great player, the later half of his career is just going to be spoiled by injuries.

If he was healthy I think he'd have a legitimate case to be the best player in the sport the last few years.

Honestly, getting him on a minimum contract would be a steal. If he can play even limited minutes like an '86 Walton, he could still be a contributor on a playoff contender.

His 3 year extension I think ends in 2027. I can't imagine him going any further at 36 years old.

I honestly find Kawhi impossible to rank. His accolades are in stone, his impact * when healthy* is undeniable, but his career stats/averages are going to be far below other all-timers.
