The Celtics are the best team in the east. The Knicks and Bucks are up there if they're both healthy.

Then on paper the Sixers had a fantastic off-season and should be up there as well. Maybe.

That leaves the Cavaliers, Magic and Pacers.

What pieces do those three teams need to reach the upper level?

Of course there's also the Heat but for a reason that are worth another thread I'm not too big on them right now.

all of them need a real star to be in contention but for now moves that would help a bit.

Cavs: need to break up the frontcourt pairing or backcourt pairing and get a wing. If they can convince ingram to not ask for the max I might go for him.

Pacers: an elite 3nD wing even though nesmith/nembhard are solid. I thought mikal was a good option for them. should just be patient for now hope mathurin develops.

Magic: a guard who can makes 3's off the dribble and score. anfernee simons seems pretty obvious. I dont think they're going that route however with kcp signing. Just going let paolo and franz continue to develop
