It's one thing to make a sequel 25 years later, which of course is absurd, but to make this a "sequel" when it doesn't even have the main character OR villain from the first one? Seriously, what is the fvcking point :lol Do they actually expect fans of the first one to flock to theatres to see this sequel that has nothing to do with the original.

Don’t see why they need to make it a sequel to the Crowe/Phoenix masterpiece. Seems like it’s fine as a standalone movie about the Roman coliseum and gladiators, and Pascal and Washington are more than big enough draws to get people’s attention.

While it is stupid...for men it's the only good film that's coming out between Heretic and Nosferatu
