Not sure who team USA will start this time but they'll be up against Jokic. If Embiid is going to show himself to be worth starting over Davis this is the opponent for him to do it against.

Defense and physiciality should be their calling card. Get stops, generate turnovers, and get out in transition and semi-transition for some early offense.

The problem with these types of stacked teams is they play hot potato in the half-court setting. No one wants to be the selfish one. And just because a guy is good as a star doesn't mean he's good as a role player. Which is why I like Jrue and White on this team.

Jrue, LeBron, AD, and Bam need to be starters for sure. And probably Ant as well for his shot creation and general athleticism, physicality, and two-way impact.

Tatum didn't get his first touch until there were under 5 minutes left in the first quarter. Maybe Kerr is just hiding his true plans but I really don't see much point in starting him if he's being used like this. Unless he's somehow crucial to the defense.

I like starting Tatum.

It's better not to have all your guys who can takeover out there together in the same lineup or it just becomes overkill. It's actually better to start a guy or two who isnt expected to carry because hes simply not that guy, running alongside the guys who are. Gives better balance.

Tatum is perfect for that roll. Especially on this team with so many ATGs, he is perfect for being an unnoticed role player and nothing more.

Curry is easily the best FIBA player on the floor. AD is also the kind of athletic big man that the rest of the world doesn't have.

I guess but he really shouldn't go out there and only touch the ball something like 3 times the entire first half. They actually feel behind in the first half during the starters' first stimt. The offense looked bad for that part of the first quarter and everything was a jumper by Curry or a turnover. Team USA didn't look good until the reserves came in. If Tatum is just going to stand in one spot on the there point line then he may add will be replaced as a starter by Booker who is a better three-point shooter and then given the freedom to play more of his game with the reserves.

Curry is also a beast, because he is actually a very FIBA like guard, just infinitely better than everyone else currently playing.

Those two alone and it doesn't really matter the rest of the lineup.
