Personally, I just ate too much beans in college. Rice or ramen + shredded chicken off a Costco rotisserie and a huge side of kidney beans and whatever veggies are cheap at the time was my typical broke-boy meal. I’d make chicken broth with the bones too so I find Costco rotisseries and beans abhorrent now.

But back to my point, I never knew anyone who like refried beans. As a complimentary part of something like a dip, for example? Sure, but you’re never going to a place just because they make bomb beans.

idk if they count as refried, but they are mashed then cooked further so maybe...but frijoles puercos (you'll find them at any mexican party) are extremely good. like you can just grab a tortilla and eat them like that and the flavors will overwhelm your mouth.
