The Summer Olympics every 4 years is pretty stupid to me to be honest. I know it's tradition, but you are talking about athletes who are in the prime of their career only competing on the world stage two or three times before they age out of competition. Yeah, yeah, there are world competitions every year, but it's not the Olympics. And I would have imagined that this would have been thought about already considering the commercial success the Olympics can be for advertisers and for host cities. Every two years makes a whole hell of a lot more sense to me. When you literally look up why they hold them every four years, the only reasoning you find is to respect the tradition of the games when they first originated in Greece in the 700's BC.
