Should the Olympics just get rid of all gender specific events?

It has now come out that all 3 medalists in the 800m women's running event at the 2016 Rio Olympics had testosterone at male levels. Caster Semenya, the gold medalist was later found out to be a biological male with 5α-Reductase 2 deficiency, the other 2 medalist conditions have not been revealed yet. The 2 European biological women who placed 4th and 5th complained about competing against men but they felt their protest fell on deaf ears because they were white and the medalists were black.

In a bit of irony a Russian biological woman beat Semenya in the 2015 World Championships but Semenya's silver was upgraded to gold when the Russian tested positive for artificial testosterone and was stripped lol

It's the reason the Olympic's cracked down on Imane Khalif and the Tawain shemale. They started banning anyone with XY chromosomes after Semenya and other's with super high testosterone were tearing up the women's sporting world but reinstated them right before this Olympics.

So should we just end the controversy about unfair advantages and just not have any gender specific sports?

I think it's best to be left to each sport organization to decide. It's not really a serious enough issue.
