While it would indeed suck to be benched in the medal game I feel like Kerr is in a lose/lose situation. Because the flip side is if he loses the backlash would be towards him as well "if he didn't play _______ & ______ we would have won. Kerr can't coach at this level etc. At the end of the day he's gotta get this thing done, what we don't know is if there's been reasons behind the scenes he hasn't played guys. In practice they aren't giving the effort or just getting the role they've gotta play as well as he and staff would like? Attitude? Etc. Whatever really went down will be revealed at some point I imagine.

this all revolves around JT mostly, and it's his own demise IMO - not Kerr's fault.

JT didnt have overwhelming warm up games, his best game so far was when Ant went off so can you put him in over Ant given that? Book is hard to replace right now as he flowing with the older guys on the court too, plus his defense was really good the last game. and to the last, JT comes in behind KD and Lebron as far as rotation too.

that said, i think US will be up big against France and they empty the bench so everyone gets mins - however little it may be.

Halliburton has taken it well.

White surely didn't like getting benched but he did enough in prior games to feel like he was an important part of the team.
