It's true. Still not the equivalent of a 5th ring for James. I just find it funny - Curry outscored LeEPO in the Olympics by 15 points, misses the "Olympic MVP". That was the same reason the bubble in-season tournament MVP went to Lefraud, but at least that phony thing Lebron outscored Davis throughout the "tourney", even though Davis had a monster 40/20 "Gold" game while Lebron had 6 turnovers and 1/2 the pts or less. So pick a set of criteria and stick with it.
My point is Lebron padded his stats against weak competition (the earlier rounds) just like he did in the "mid season" trophy last year.
I'll take the guy (Curry/AD) that plays well when all the marbles are on the table.

Curry has been blatantly robbed of MVP's twice
Why did Iggy get FMVP in the 2015 Finals again?... Lebron shot poorly in every series of that playoff run, so everyone was holding him to poor efficiency - we know that "carry-job" scoring burdens require more jumpers, which craters Lebron's efficiency.. So Iggy had nothing to do with it - Lebron just stinks at super-high scoring burdens (mj burdens), which he never had before or since.
So the 2015 Finals was a robbery that stained and hurt Curry's career - it colored how everyone perceived him thereafter.. The worst part about it is that the 15' ring was won the hardest way - Curry defeated max defensive attention (carried scoring load on championship level), which is a rare way to win... Then he gets robbed again in 2024... He should've decided NOT to save bron's legacy against Serbia - he didn't act in his own best interests.
I'm disappointed that we don't have any real men with strong brains that would refute the media's bias and call them out for it - but instead, Curry, Kerr and the rest of today's softies go along with the media's goal of treating Lebron as if he won the last 5 titles, when he actually has catastrophic loss every year.. The biggest loser and choker in NBA history is purported as the best player ever.
But there are 2 things (among others) that a goat requires but that Lebron doesn't have - 1) being in the debate for best winner ever, and 2) being in the debate for best scorer ever.... Lebron is in neither of these debates.. He's the biggest fraud in sports history, and it's very easy to demonstrate this with fact and historical record of goat losing, goat choking, and goat underachievement of expectation.

The funny thing is a lot of us wish Lebron dropped 50 or went nuts so this type of stuff could at least be justified. In that case we'd just have to tip our caps.
But when its blatant that another guy carried the win and got no recognition? It just just gives people who follow the truth more ammo. And resolidifies their stance.

The more LBJs career becomes manufactured Phony business.
Olympics is only about GOLD, SILVER and BRONZE.
Rest of them are all losers and for a reason. "you want a place at the podium, simply get better"
FIBA MVP is like PARTICIPATION award.
tomorrow FIBA will introduce all sorts of PARTICIPATION awards. FIBA DPOY. FIBA FMVP.
they are all coming. but here is the reality.
Olympics Bball will never ever match SWIMMING, DIVING and TRACK AND FIELD sports.

This is just such a classic Curry performance!
In a field of other stars he blends into the background letting everyone else have the opportunity to shine making some doubt him but then when it gets to crunch time and you think it might be close he says "Well it's been nice guys, you've all been great but it's time for us to win now" and then goes all road runner, beep beep, and leaves everyone else in the dust.
Classic LeBron too. Gets the award that Steph left for him.
If anyone in the future says LeBron is the greatest player of this era because of his awards, just point to these Olympics. It's the last decade of the NBA in a nutshell.

LeBron was the engine to this team. He was the leader, He was Quarterbacking the offense the entire tourney with his playmaking, Provided some nice scoring and came up big on defense, especially against Jokic. There were games where a guy like Durant shined, then in the next game it would be Edwards, then it would be Bam, then eventually Curry. But in all of those games, LeBron was right there contributing at a high level. I would say LeBron and Booker were the most consistent players with LeBron having a bigger role. Curry was the man who closed out after his initial shitty start.

What retards don't get is that this is the reason why Curry is such a winner and doesn't have many game winning shots on the last possession. He snuffs out the possibility of randomness biting him at the end when he can.

Meh, there was no dragging in this game. 4 threes in a row to close was an emphatic and certainly very fun way to end it but we were going to win either way. KD and Bron were getting him the ball during that because he was hot and it was fun, not because we desperately needed a basket and no one else could do it.

It's honestly a bigger sham than Iggys FMVP in 2015.
Contextually, Iggy actually did step up early in those Finals when Curry and Klay looked a little shook. And he locked Lebron up to 47% TS in single coverage. So their was a small sliver of a case to award Iggy with the media accolade even though Curry totally outproduced him overall.
In this case however, Curry not only totally outplayed Lebron in the Championship games and saved team USA ass, he out scored him for the entirety of the Olympics as well.
So it wasnt just a simple burglary, it was a strong arm robbery in broad daylight.

In 2023, AD was clearly the best player in the series, Lebron was at best as good as Steph, and that's putting it mildly.

Curry should have outplayed him in that 2021 game, LeBron was dealing with an injury for the 2nd half of that season and Curry was having an MVP type year, still doesn't change the fact that LeBron hit a game winner over him. The funny thing is, LeBron was also playing injured in 2023 when the Lakers beat the Warriors.

I wish I got credit and praise at work from what other people did. It’s a pattern here:
2013 – Game 6 – Lebron turns the ball over 800 times and misses 500 3’s. Ray Allen hits the biggest shot to force a game 7. Lebron gets all the glory.
2016 – Kyrie, 27 PPG, had a 41 pt game on 71% shooting, hits series winner with no one able to score for 3 minutes. Lebron gets the glory.
2020 – AD clearly the best player, got them into the Finals with a game winner, Lebron gets the glory.
2023-24 “In Season tournament”. Lebron racks up pts vs. weak completion, plays like ass for the last game. AD 41 pts / 20 rebounds, Lebron gets all the glory.
2024 – Olympics. Same but even worse – outscored by Curry in the last 2 most important playoff games. Lebron gets all the glory for stat padding / cherry picking. 0 clutch gene.
There's a reason LeEPO is 0 for 8 in NBA FINALS game winning / game tying shots. Can you imagine that? He's never hit a shot to put his team up to tie or take the lead in 55 finals games.
No matter how much Nike or the NBA try to gaslight people - Lebron isn't HIM. I get it man, we all miss Mike & Kobe & Bird & Magic. But this just isn't working; dude is a fraud.

LeBron scored 16 points in that 4th quarter in game 6, Miami trailed by 10 points entering the 4th. He single-handedly got them back in the game. That's one fact Bron haters completely forget.

I completely disagree. Without Steph, there is no GOLD game. Period. You could put any of the bench players in for LeTurnover and Team USA would have won every game. His 14 PPG (not even the Olympics high scorer; that was Steph) could have been picked up by anyone. They slowed the game down to play "Lebron ball" which is stand at the top of the key, turn it over or throw it to a teammate doing all the work. Or cherry pick and don't run back on defense.
On top of that, rack up big stats in the first game or two against far inferior competition; shrink like a violet when it matters most.
At one point in the 4th quarter of the GOLD game I was wondering if LeEPO was trying to have his team lose. Nice facial served up on him too - an all time classic pic...LOL

LeBron scored 16 points in that 4th quarter in game 6, Miami trailed by 10 points entering the 4th. He single-handedly got them back in the game. That's one fact Bron haters completely forget.
How'd he do in the last minutes again? When all the chips were on the table? # of turnovers and missed shots?
Looked it up for the spectrum guy:
End of 2013 game 6:

He dominated the 4th and dominated game 7.
Why did Shaq get swept so many times?

I think Lebron deserved it because he was consistently very good. Steph was mediocre for several games until the two they needed him the most and delivered. I think it also fits their styles in a way. Lebron no matter what will give you an 8/10, meanwhile Steph is more likely to give you a 4/10 game in a playoff series but take your soul in B2B games during 2-3 minutes of a game. Different players, different style sets.

Given not earned as usual. "But..but...Bron had a bunch of rebounds in the 40 pt blowout game! And assists!" This is why most normal people understand that the Lebron fans at this point are clearly on the spectrum.

Again, you're a complete retard. Steph easily outplayed him in that game. Lebron being clutch for a 3 point shot doesn't change that. If Steph had AD since he came back from injury, he would likely have 2 more chips on his resume.

This right here.
If Steph had one more good game earlier he probably takes the MVP.

Go back and re-read my post, I never said Bron had a better game, just said he hit the game winner in his face while dealing with an injury, Curry was supposed to outplay him considering that fact.
And why are you running scenarios in your head about Steph/AD? Having Peak KD help you guys win 2 chips wasn't good enough? :lol

Well deserved :applause:
Orchestrated the offense and, lead the team vocally and was the most consistent player on the floor throughout the whole tournament
This MVP + 3rd gold medal cements LeBron as the undisputed goat in my eyes if it wasn't already clear enough who the GOAT is
