And don't say usage rate PLEASE, usage rate is based on how a possession ends (pts/asts)

Perfect example is Klay having a 50% usg for his 60 point game though he only had the ball in his hands for like a minute.

I'm talking the literal amount of elapsed time the ball is in a player's hands. Is there a dribble tracker stat also?

It'd be nice to have a metric that crystallizes a player's ability to individually dominate juxtaposed to the team's synergy while said player is dominating.

Players like Lebron, Harden and Doncic immediately come to mind, their so uber talented that your team is going to contend and maybe even win (championship/s) because they are just so good.

Still it's not optimal and players who can match their statistical while not dominating ball will maximize their team's potential much more than those guys.

Jordan, Jokic and Steph immediately come to mind.
Along with hypo-optimization there's the issue of predictability of the offense that can really be a handicap in the semifinal and Final rounds when you typically face the best defenses.

I'm not a stat nerd dude, I know the game and can articulate what I see. People love nice tidy stats though you'll NEVER be able to capture everything about the game via numbers.

Still it's convenient for debates especially on public platforms. If it doesn't exist somebody needs to get to work on that.
