"ether", "rat poison".. Many of these were introduced by a couple posters.

In general we replied with GIFs a lot. Thats almost completely gone. Prob because we posted from the laptop/computer more but GIFs in general seemed to have been a bigger thing.

i’m not entirely sure I wasn’t the first person to make any of the dunk contest reaction images. I’m talking in like the 2002 season when I figured out how to download old games and rip DVDs and convert VHS. I started making gif files Of dunk contests from the past and recent years And having people on here decide who would win. Like 85 Wilkins against whoever.

Me and two or three other people were pulling those files and posting those reactions over 20 years ago. I never saw any of those before I made them.

I’m also pretty sure I’m the first person to take the Grandpa Simpson walking in seeing Bart and walking out of the burlesque house image. That shit was like 2003 as well.

of course, I don’t seriously believe I invented any of the concepts, but it was the Internet infancy of all those things and I never personally saw them until I did them. We couldn’t even get the files to stay up more than a couple hours without paying for hosting.

A poster here I’ve long forgotten paid for a hosting site we used back then trading files on FTP groups.

I was uploading shitty gifs on Netzero and then the first generation home cable modems.

”Old ISH” to me is first Lakers threepeat ezboard days. I’m pretty sure I’d already slowed down and barely posted anymore(by my ridiculous standards) by 2006 when we moved here.

there was a long period of time where “I” might be any of a group of people who posted on here from my house or job where I had the site open. I probably had 100K posts the first few years across multiple forums.
