Mike Conley/Kirk Hinrich
Derrick White/Tony Allen
Bruce Bowen/Raja Bell
Andrei Kirilenko//Shane Battier
Kenyon Martin/Serge Ibaka
You get all 10 on 3 year contracts at low enough pay to fit. All have no trade clauses and no desire to leave.
You can add one of the following players to that lineup:
Nuggets or Knicks Carmelo
Prime Westbrook
Prime Iverson
Kings Webber
Prime Patrick Ewing
Demar and Lowry(Yes…they count as one player)
The coach is Brad Stevens.
You win the title in 3 years or you’re fired.
Pick one of them to give you the best chance of that.

Patrick Ewing to give them more shot blocking would be nice. The team is lacking on offense but it could be a early 2000’s pistons style team
I think I am going with Derozen and Lowry. The team needs some scoring and shot creation and derozen can give that. For Lowry, there is a lot of guards on the team already but injuries happen. That depth doesn’t hurt.

Lowry isn't really necessary considering the team already has Conley & Hinrich, both were studs in their prime.
Ewing & Carmelo are the only obvious answers to me. Carmelo would add some much needed scoring & the team would mask some of his weaknesses. I know some will go Iverson and I wouldn't blame them, but I was never a big fan of his play style.

Given the fact that this team has no center and ewing is the best player, pretty easy choice. After that I'd take Webber @ the 4, slide AK to small forward and Ibaka to center.

Ibaka and AK47 would probably combine for seven blocks game. I know what you’re saying. That’s just the first thing that came to mind when you mentioned a lack of shot blocking.

I would say both of Ibaka and Martin are pretty decent modern centers. Great lob threats and Kmart can switch quite a few positions. Ibaka didn’t shoot many threes in his prime, but if you got thunder mobility and raptors three-point shooting? Be more than serviceable.
considering how well Kmart defended Duncan at times in the finals, I’d be pretty happy with that combo defensively

If you add Derozan and Lowry White is still the best player. And would be the best clutch shooter no matter who you add.

VERY highly debatable. Unless you mean those two guys right now..

I'm taking Iverson.
He took a game off the 2001 Lakers with a worse defensive minded team.
Give him four guys plus a bench of defenders I like his chances of winning a title within 3 years.

It’s rebounding. It does have to be Ewing imo. All scorers would need at least a good offensive rebounding front line. If you could swap out for rebounders, it’d be different.
If reb was right, I’d consider Melo or Ivo. Would not do Ewing.

Martin One of those guys kinda like Rasheed Wallace where it feels like he would be a tough rebounder but the facts just don’t support it. Be funny watching that team hold someone to 34 percent shooting but lose because they gave up 19 offensive rebounds.

It’d be hard not to go with Ewing here, though that’s definitely not enough to turn that team into a champion.

Whether you go with Ewing or someone else it's definitely enough to win a title. He almost did it with Starks as his second best player.
In most series the other team will have the better #2 option but 3 through 8 would be a very big advantage for this imagination of a team and there is a big possibility of "good brand of BBall" to use a 3ball term.
White, Bowen Kirilenko, Kirk, etc are all guys who promote ball movement and shooting and very high BBall IQ. This team would work well within a system.
Even if you put Iverson on this squad he did a lot of his damage off the ball to receive the pass in the half court which is promoting the good brand of BBall. This team desperately needs a go to guy in tough situations against playoff defenses and Ewing makes me nervous in this regard.

It would be so hilarious watching AI with 3-4 shooters in a league that doesn’t allow off ball holding, chose to legalize a third step, plays at an 80s pace, and calls a foul on every bump in traffic.
He might take 14 free throws a game even while shooting less.
He went from 39% shooting to doing 33 a game on 45% when all the league did was alter hand check calls and try to open it up a little. And he was at the end of his prime then. On a team playing slower than anyone in the league today….with exactly one shooter. And Kyle Korver got more shots playing with Allen Iverson than he got when he was an all star on the Hawks playing more minutes. Iverson absolutely loved shooters.
He was built for this league. People have seen so many highlights of him doing crossovers they don’t realize he was probably leading the league in scoring off the ball. His athleticism and softball movement would do more to make him unstoppable right now and his ability to break you down. I’ve seen several players say fans thought Iverson beat you with his handles, but it was really his quickness.
He would just be walking into the lane with these rules.
He would be so different you’d barely be able to tell it was the same guy if you could do a hypothetical 2025 versus 2005 stat comparison I bet.
Whole different reputation.

Ewing, followed closely by Iverson.

Im doubling down on lowry and derozen, injury happens. While lowry is a bit redundant , demar’s fit is nice plus lowery gives them more depth. They need some off the dribble scoring threat and derozan gives them that. Ewing won’t get turned into Rudy but he’s not gonna have the same impact he had as he had in the 90’s, it’s a different rule set.

I think the correct answer is prime Ewing. He played many 80+ games seasons with 38+ minutes.
Guys like Iverson, Webber, Melo, Lowry. They played like 60 or 70+ games a season and I'm not sure that's enough to get this team into the playoff with high enough seed.

This team lacks a scoring threat to build an offense around. It doesn't really lack rim protection, but does lack size. I'm taking Carmelo, and starting Ibaka.

Insane comment, White isn't touching prime Lowry. DeRozan, sure he's always been empty stats.
VERY highly debatable. Unless you mean those two guys right now..
Debatable with Derozan maybe not Lowry. I'd take White over any version of DeRozan, never was a fan of his game, but prime Lowry did all the same role player stuff White did but scored 20+ PPG to boot. Pretty easy decision there, there's a reason Lowry was generally in the top 10 of impact metrics in his prime iirc. Laughable to compare them really, Lowry is so disrespected. Might as well compare Robert Horry to Shawn Marion

Honestly don't mind prime Melo on that team. I think with either Ewing or Melo it's a championship squad.
