“You think it’s steroids?” Howard interrupted, asking about the possible cause of James' continued, time-defying excellence. In 2023-24, on a 47-35 Lakers club, James appeared in 71 contests, averaging 25.7 points on .540/.410/750 shooting splits, 8.3 assists, 7.3 rebounds, 1.3 steals and 0.5 blocks a night in 35.3 minutes per. He was named to the 2024 All-NBA Third Team, in addition to his 20th All-Star team.

Cousins wouldn't take the bait, however, noting that he “ain’t gonna get into that.”

Dwight should do some real investigation and blow the whistle so he can get into the top 75 - this should be sufficient motivation

If LeBron is only or primarily still good because of PEDs, what is Dwight's excuse for not still being in the league?

Dwight is a full year younger and they're very close to the same size overall.

Of course LeBron is on PEDs. Most if not all of the league is, including Dwight. Crazy.

Doesn't change the fact that LeBron is arguably the most athletic player in league history and out of the short list of contenders for said spot, clearly the hardest worker of the bunch by a country mile.

:oldlol:

That's why he didn't look anywhere near as athletic when the league started testing for HGH and this happened right?

Here's the story behind the 2-week break that turned LeBron James' season around

Windhorst says that late in 2014, James had been moody and his body wasn't 100%. After suddenly deciding not to play in a game against the Hawks, the Cavs gave him take two weeks off to rest, from which he returned healthy and in a better mood, seemingly revitalized by some midseason trades.

"[Cavs GM] David Griffin tells the story," Windhorst begins. "He said that LeBron had been moping for weeks.

"It was LeBron's birthday — it was December 30th. They were playing in Atlanta. It was before Atlanta went on their 20-game win streak, so it wasn't really deemed a big game yet. And they thought LeBron was going to play, and LeBron just decided, 'I'm not gonna play.' Like, at the last minute, he told them, 'I'm not playing.' Didn't even come out to the bench, just sat in the back, didn't come out."

Windhorst says the Cavaliers' brass was stunned.

"[James] had sort of just like waved a bit of a white flag there. He just didn't feel like playing. He had never done that ever before. He had always just played through it. And so it was after that game, [the Cavaliers] said, 'Alright, take your two weeks off,' because he had reached a very low point."

Nobody is quite sure why James' two-week break turned around his season. He does seem healthier and more explosive. If it was just fatigue and simple aches that he was dealing with, then two weeks may have been enough to revitalize him.

Takes one to know one and Dwight is one of the more obvious cases of steroid abuse, even though he, like Lebron, is a natural freak athlete.

Well I think Lebron is on performance enhancing drugs, but I doubt he's taking anything that is against the rules at this moment. I know Lebron is paying a premium to have his body function at the top of it's game and for it to be done within the rules. He's taken the next step that Wilt Chamberlain and Michael Jordan likely did during their generations.

Anything that is actually performance enhancing is against the rules, unless you're using some kind of cutting edge stuff that isn't public yet.
