He casually athletic. I can’t think of a better way to explain it. The way he would jump from right under the basket at his size with so much power was always amazing to me. From what I can tell It doesn’t look that impressive to people who can’t dunk at all. Thousands of years ago when I could dunk easily, the idea of just springing up off two right under the basket the way people like him or Steve Francis could was unimaginable. And I was a 2 foot jumper. He never even seems to be trying to get up. It’s almost as if he can barely dunk, but he does it so easily. He can somehow both go full speed and look like he’s in a layup line and it’s just confusing.

They have similar body types but Zion looks like he goes all out when he jumps. Half the time Charles looks like he goes up for layups but decided to dunk it after all when he got in the air.

Time hasn't been kind to Chuck to the point he's now severely underrated. He was arguably a top.3 guy in the league in the 90s most seasons but no worse than 5 for me. He was one of those guys that could just do shit. Wasn't a great 3 point shooter but decided to hit them when his team needed them or be a fancy passer out of the blue like the gifs. And most forgotten is he may have been 6'4 tops at PF in the era of the big men....and was a dominant force.

And there were people in the All Time ISH draft who would take guys like OG Anuyobe and kyrie over peak MVP Pheonix Charles Barkley. That blew my mind.

Just looking at Chuck you could tell he was built to excel as a broad jumper and standing leaper. Just a huge/powerful posterior chain.

OG is underrated - but his offense isn't on Barkley's level.

Hard to believe someone would pick Kyrie over Barkley though. That's just insanity.
