I'm disappointed in RMWG for not breaking this story, cause God knows if some Republican Mayor in some sleepy town in the Midwest gets in trouble, he's the first person on ISH making a topic about it.

NEW YORK (WABC) -- A 57-page federal indictment has accused Mayor Eric Adams with accepting improper campaign contributions.

The five counts against Adams include two counts of wire fraud, two counts of solicitation of a contribution from a foreign national and one count of bribery,

This is breaking news. This story will be updated -- see original story below:

The U.S. attorney's office in New York says it will announce "significant public corruption charges" at a news conference later Thursday morning.

The announcement came hours after federal agents entered Mayor Eric Adams' official residence and seized his phone early Thursday, hours before the indictment was made public.

About a dozen agents were spotted at Gracie Mansion, some carrying bags, as they entered through the East Gate, accompanied by NYPD officers. They spent at least an hour inside the mayor's residence.

The mayor was served with a summons and they took his cellphone.

Eric Adams is incredibly stupid, corrupt and incompetent. He was crushed by Andrew Yang in every debate, how he won the mayorship is beyond me.

Adams didn't even have any policies, Yang was super transparent and had pages and pages on his website. He even got Tucker to break character and reveal himself as a moderate right... as a DEMOCRAT ON HIS FOX SHOW.

His reply to AOC and others who were asking him to step down a few days before the indictments occurred.

"Adams said in a statement issued through a spokesperson he had no plans to step down.

For anyone who self-righteously claims people charged with serious crimes should not be in jail to now say that the second Black mayor of New York should resign because of rumors and innuendo — without even a single charge being filed — is the height of hypocrisy,” the statement said.

“I am leading this city to protect it from exactly that kind of phony politics. The people of this city elected me to fight for them, and I will stay and fight no matter what.”

If he does step down, the dude who will take over is Jumaane Williams. Here's a quote from an interview from 2018. He describes himself as a Democratic Socialist.

To what extent do corporations’ and capitalists’ interests control the political process, and how?

Williams: To a great extent. Decisions are made daily based on who can cut checks. The Democratic Party in particular makes decisions based on how much money it can raise and incumbency protection, and less based on what’s good for the state and its people. I believe we have Trump in the White House because the bigots and the Nazis espoused their convictions, but the Democratic Party did not have the courage to do the same. Instead, they focused as usual on raising money and incumbency protection. Now the same leaders who brought us to this point are saying they want to continue leading us. That’s a problem.

Sounds like your typical lunatic Dem

Exactly one year ago today, Eric Adams went off script and said illegal immigrants were destroying NYC. Now he's facing indictments. Video in link

Are you of the opinion that people vote for sound and rational reasons? Hmm. Interesting.

Are you of the opinion that people vote for sound and rational reasons? Hmm. Interesting.I'm under the impression that people vote for articulate people who can at least come off intelligent. Yang is the rare combo of highly intelligent with rizz so it was odd NY wasn't more into him. Adams otoh, has no charisma, stumbles on every other word because you know he's trying to remember talking points because he doesn't actually know what he's doing, and is actually a very stupid person. It was just too night and day.

That sounds like a personal problem.

Here's what I hate about NYC.

Anytime anything happens there, it is made out to be a national story.

Who cares?

Sure. You only got triggered by "Nazi", but this is some good criticism.

It's nonsensical criticism when you're criticizing the Democrats from THE RIGHT though. Wanting to help the people is a left wing position.

I doubt a self described democratic socialist is right from the corporate dems. It's absolutely valid criticism from that perspective, but people like Hey Yo don't want to help the people if it comes from someone that uses Nazi and Trump in the same sentence.

No I meant Hey Yo is to the right of the dems so his criticism from the left is ironic :wtf:

Obviously you’re to the left of the dems.
