Video when Biden wad asked what the storm zones needed after visiting earlier that day. First he asked reporters to repeat it. Then replies "oh, storm zone... I didn't know which storm you were talking about. They're getting everything they need.... they're very happy

https://x.com/RNCResearch/status/1842018660191195305?t=Jgyyivvc-okvMzB0yeVOYw&s=19

On social media, video footage of his comments have sparked anger.

"I live in the 'storm zone' here in east Georgia on night 7 with no power and I assure you we haven't received anything and we are far from happy, in fact we are f****** pissed," one person wrote on X, formerly Twitter,

"This makes my blood boil! Our families are suffering," another X user wrote. "The death toll is going to be shocking. The missing need to be found!!!!"

A different user wrote: "You say they are HAPPY Joey? HAPPY? WTF are you talking about?? Do you even know where you are now or were you were today? Those people are suffering something never seen before in this country. Whole towns underwater. Missing relatives and children. Body bags filling up.

"They have no homes, no water, no internet, no food, no comforts, and for sure no hope with a useless buffoon like you. And you stand there and state they have everything they need and they are HAPPY?"

It's because if we flood our own country with billions it would wreck us. Like we just saw with covid and the inflation that flooding our own country caused.

The Fed has worked hard to turn our own tap off, and get our inflation rate back in the normal 2% range.

Giving other countries aid does nothing to our own inflation.

Also if you are going to complain that Biden isn't handing out money to our own, you need to stop talking all that blabber about communism. Can't have it both ways.

Protecting Taiwan makes sense though. If China gets a hold of TSMC, it’s over. No one will compete with them in chip manufacturing.

The military industrial complex is more powerful than any president, and if it isn’t supporting wars it’s dumping shit into the ocean.

this isn't about joe biden...

my point here is... we spend all of this money (and we're so quick to do it) to fund & facilitate wars yet we're not spending the money necessary to take care of our own people, especially during an emergency.

we're literally paying the salaries of ukrainian bureaucrats and we support israel striking oil sites in iran which will drive up gas prices here while the things i posted above are going on. not to mention the way we treat our veterans and how many people die from a lack of hc every year. when are we going to get our priorities straight?

That is literally the point I addressed. We can not flood our own citizens with that kind of money because it would wreck us with inflation. We just dumped $4 TRILLION on our own people, makes the billions in the OP look like pennies, but the Fed has worked hard to turn that tap off so that inflation gets back down to 2%

However we can dump money on other countries no issue.

this doesn't make sense. how is flooding defense contractors with riches not the same as, as you say, "flooding our own citizens with money"? you're putting the money into circulation either way.

so it's help disaster victims or line the pockets of raytheon. you're not only advocating for the latter but also saying it's free money?

Yup. This is actual socialism we should be angry about, you’re redistributing tax dollars that mostly come from the middle class to defense contractors and their investors. Whenever it’s about helping people who actually need it or programs that are proven to work (like m4all) it’s always “but how do we pay for it?” Gaslighting. Other co’s are in on it too, not just the Raytheons; for ex. Bic sells ‘military grade’ pens for $8-$10 a pop to the govt. Not per pack of 12, per individual pen.

The weapons portion is the same thing other countries do. We donate our old expiring missiles and tanks.

It's not like we are building them brand new 2024 Stealth Bombers.

Almost all of this wealth will go to Ukraine, it it was already created.

VS giving our citizens handouts which in turn they drive up the price on everything.

right. we then turn around and put companies like raytheon and lockheed martin to work building to replace that stock. so wtf? :confusedshrug:

what the hell does this even mean?

so let me get this straight. you classify disaster relief and providing our veterans and disabled with the programs they need as being considered "handouts"? you must piss on social safety net programs like snap and medicaid. lol... why am i even entertaining you bro you can't be serious.

It depends on how they do it imo. If they rebuild the shit instead of just giving people money, it won't inflate, but it will probably inflate if they just dump money on people like they did with Covid. They need to get people back to work and everything. The thing about covid was people were out of work and they were just giving them money. This is a completely different situation as you said. It's INSANE that disaster relief is now being seen as communism haha.

My own hot take is the same as Harvey, I think that the insurance companies should be setting money aside from their PROFITS to pay out in cases like these cuz it keeps happening. It's not going to stop happening. Why go thru the same shit over and over? Why make the govt pay for it? Even if it breaks out in rates for insurance, it's a better way than taxing then putting it thru all of the government. People who are living near water already have to pay big tax and big premiums, and the funny thing is, those bastards don't even pay out to help people that much. It's like DID IT FLOOD or was it WIND? IT WAS A HURRICANE. haha. ****ing joke.
