Bill Clinton did not say that we need to legalize the illegal immigrants that the Biden/Harris has recklessly allowed to flood into the country. Yeah that's not the way it works. On some social issues yes but not all, in some ways liberals are even more conservative than they were on social issues compared to liberals in the past, for instance guns and criminal sentencing. It is not linear whatsoever even if that narrative suits your argument. What is a constant from the past is societies becoming very multicultural and liberal up until the point everything implodes then an extreme, nationalistic, mostly right wing front arises and goes house cleaning until things become stable again. Liberalism then creeps back in again and slowly takes over until the society implodes again. Rinse and repeat
