He’s 23. It’s not crazy at all. Most teams gauge the 23yr old in the NBA now and ask will he be as good or better. Hence why younger players usually go earlier. More room to groom.

I watched Knecht a couple of games last year and he can definitely attack the rim with authority.

This was also best case draft scenario for the Lakers. Knecht was one of the oldest and most pro-ready guys in the draft and they needed someone to contribute right away. The fact he's a scorer and thats what their bench needed most also worked out perfectly.

Not enough to make them contenders IMO, but if the only move youre gonna make is taking a guy in the draft, he was probably their best bet regardless where they picked.

Also in terms of fitting the pieces, I would actually think about starting him in Reeves' spot and finishing games with him in Rui's spot. Staggering James and AR earlier in games makes sense IMO and then obviously you want Knecht's shooting out there at the end over Rui's. Unless the other team has a go-to guy at the four that you want Rui to defend.

I watched Knecht a couple of games last year and he can definitely attack the rim with authority.Herro has the light/narrow skeleton and teenage RIB CAGE and pelvic bone, like Ja Morant or Iverson. Fast cause light, but any momentum or inertia quickly gets ended upon contact, and they get knocked off course or out of control.

Knecht frame ain’t huge, but you can tell it is bigger and much more rugged and can move with some solid, stable force and likes contact. The 3 from the corner was an uncalled and-1 with body contact

Hey SUCK HOLE... everyone from the regular season rotation is sitting tonight, INCLUDING Knecht.

Bronny is the exception, he'll be a starter opening night but he's volunteered to join the reserves for tonight's game to help guide their continued development, as a sort of coach on the floor. He didnt have to but he offered to do that.

Next time instead of jumping to conclusions how about giving Bronny his damn respect?

Yeah, it's still super early but he very well could win it. He's already begging for the award, and sometimes that helps. It helped Joel that one year, and Derrick "Why cant I be MVP" Rose to finish ahead of Lebron.

Some guys egos really need those sorts of recognition and titles, and often theyre the ones campaigning the hardest.
