Simmons is potentially dangerous if he chooses to play ball for a contract year. On paper he's a good fit with the Knicks. Hopefully they trade Josh Hart to get him. Unfortunately he doesn't fit with James at all so we can't count on the Lakers to get involved.

Gonna watch the Start of this grizzlies game to see how Eddy and Morant look together. Not that it’s likely to matter. Anyone giant with touch can light up this small ball league. Boban is a career 23/15 per 36. But teams don’t tend to care. All about not being exploited on defense and not slowing down the offense.

It’s entirely possible they let him Okafor it for a season and decide it doesn’t work and we never see him again.

I assume it comes down to being able to move his feet and maybe eventually have an outside shot.

If they give him minutes vs small lineups there’s no doubt he can produce.

I am not that high on Sarr. I see a guy who isn't physical enough to play center but not skilled enough to play the 4. I really wanted Topic at 2 but that wasn't happening after his injury.

I like our other rookies Carrington and George.

Sarr has potential as a good defensive big. He needs more strength, a lot more experience, and he will have to play with a high motor. But the athleticism and potential size are there. He's not a franchise player but he's a fine piece for a rebuilding team and because he's so raw he won't keep them from tanking any time soon.

The thing that really baffles me is taking a 3 at the end of a game down 1. :facepalm

Its the most obvious example of the three-point obsession reducing basketball intelligence. Even the so-called old heads like us understand that three points are more than two so if you can make it, you should take it. And we understand that being worth more means you can miss more of them and still be efficient. Add in the easier driving lanes that come from having to guard everyone that far from the basket and of course you should shoot threes.

But most of that goes out the window when you just need to make any shot to win. You just need to Take the highest percentage shot available if you have to put the ball in the basket To stay alive or win.

It’s one of the main things I feared would happen with the transition to the three-pointer based offense. Players seem to literally forget that you get the extra point because it’s harder to make it. Get a gotdamn layup if you can. Run some kind of offense. It’s like playing the free wheeling and drive and kick style has left teams less able to execute a set play.

I forgot the NBA doesn’t play games on election day. I suppose it makes sense after you do a whole vote campaign. You can’t then schedule games to pull tens of thousands of people into Arenas while polls are open.

I saw he was Starting and I was thinking to myself, I hadn’t seen him in a while. I figured he had just been hidden on a bench. Then the announcer said they just flew him in and added him this afternoon. They called his ass off the couch this morning, just to fill a roster spot and he got the start because they have nobody.

I can’t blame him for looking rusty, but he just had a pretty brutal turnover and looked to the bench and took the blame. I guess it’s only path back to the league is at least being a reliable back up veteran with the right attitude.

I’m waiting to see his first three-point attempt. I feel like if it’s an air ball, the fans should give him a pass.

The full season pass was $109. I did the math = Nov 22-April 22 = 5 full months @ 16.99 = 84.95. Playoffs start mid-April so I won't need the pass then.

I legit Don’t even know. I actually had The online version years ago, but somewhere along the line it appeared on my Amazon despite me never signing up for it again. I suspect at some point one of the many people who have access to my prime added it. I had a several year run of getting fire sticks and Roku boxes for family, women, and kids and already having all my sign in information ready with all apps needed on there.

This was right before the transition to every TV being a smart TV. There are probably 15 I’m signed in on. Well used to be at least. All kind of channels and services got added to prime and I just never noticed for years.

I eventually figured out how to check subscriptions and league pass was on there so I just left it.
