Somethings wrong with the box score feed because it says V-Dub has 8 points on 2-13 with 6 boards and 1 assist halfway thru the third.
But he's the future GOAT so obviously something is being lost in transmission. What are his real stats? Is anyone watching who can share?

He really loves that three-point shot. He's 1/7 in 22 minutes.

He's forcing too much. Overall just a bad three quarters offensively for him.

I like the guy and Im not rooting against him but some folks were really claiming emphatically hes the future GOAT when he hadnt proven he was good at anything besides blocks yet.
Just shows you how quick people are to go to extremes.

I tend not to pay attention to whatever people yell so early in a player's career. He's got GOAT potential, but so has a shit ton of other players. He's fun to watch because he can do so much, but he's young, the biggest teacher is failure.

Wemby had 9 dunks in one half as a rookie. The record for a single game is 13 by Shaq. His most realistic pathway toward offensive success is as a downhill threat. And a commitment to strength and conditioning is what's needed to get there.

Wemby will again have his best offensive nights this season as a downhill threat, against teams who lack multiple long, agile rim protectors. Dallas has a plethora of them. Lively, Gafford, Maxi, that new 7’3” G league kid they have who might be ready for some real minutes later this season.

I'm reserving judgement. Its too easy to make sweeping statements the first week as guys get into game shape ( granted he played 2 months ago in the Olympics so its not like he hasnt played high level ball since last season.)
I still say this dude ultimately is gonna be a game changing GOAT level defensive force, but I don't know if he's also gonna be your lead scorer on a title team. It's too soon to really project where the apex of his offensive ability ends up. Right now in season 2 it doesn't look like he mentally took it up a gear as far as how to dominate with his size, but Pop has to put him in better positions too, and with CP3 that should in theory not be an issue. The rest of his team is pretty mediocre.

Not even the media so much as posters here like rrr3 and eliteballer and some others. Every decent game he had last year had some people saying hes already on track to be the greatest ever.
Like excuse me, lets see if he plays 22 seasons, becomes the all time leading scorer, wins an IST MVP (only been done once in history so far) and plays with his own progeny in an NBA game.
Let him come even remotely close to any of that and then we can start debating it.

Yeah, it's soon in the season, but regardless, that fool needs to stop jacking up threes. Eight attempts per game for him is ridiculous, and it's incredibly low IQ.

A better-scoring Shawn Bradley... Cool...
Just like I said.

I guess when youre so accustomed to being such a loser in life, you tend to overblow your tiny load in a rush to prove people wrong.
Yamas having a nice stretch. Good for him and good for basketball. It's not a stretch that now makes him the definitive future GOAT and means you were right all along. Aaron Gordon is shooting over 50% on threes on the season still. It doesnt mean hes the new GOAT shooter. Everything is still a small sample size. Maybe Yama keeps doing this but he may not.
The fact you get manic every time he has a good game is such an embarrassing look. It's a clesr psychological hallmark of the "fake happy/triumphant" swing bipolar people put on. Youre clearly deeply depressed. I dont wanna say anything too personally insulting because I know youre volatile right now.
You were making threads on thanksgiving that nobody responded to, so you went to the OTC and bumped a completely random old patrick chewing post and threw out some kind of insult hoping at least he might be around to fight with you at ISH on thanksgiving. You post gibberish late at night on fake accounts when theres nobody to talk to.
Your life is clearly unenviable to all here. So Im just gonna let you go on with your panic induced mania. I understand your existence is pain and you carry a lot of darkness inside. I actually just wish you well, but I worry youre the kind of person not capable of evolving. I dont know how youre ever going to find peace.
Patented starface projection-filled meltdown, I love it.

It's not really about basketball with him. He's just using that as a medium for his internal ego battle. It could be about anything...

Bit of a rough night last night for the future GOAT. 1-9 on threes, I think he finished with 15 points on 18 shots in the loss.
I'm sure he'll bounce back tho, and rrr3 will bump this thread with a manic screech next time he does.
