Got swept but still they pushed the Champions hardest. Almost pulled the upset in Game 1 if not for JB having one of the most (unrecognized) clutch sequences in NBA history. Lost Wiseman but still have a good number of dangerous perimeter players, a shotblockibg center that can hit threes and the best pass first point guard in the league. Do you rule them out of being a top 4 team in the East?

Technically not an addition but they didn't have Benedict Mathurin in the playoffs last year. He's a good young player who could have improved. A big reason they found Hield expendable.

They managed to sting the Celtics but blew a 24-point lead before sealing the deal. There are things I could say about the Celtics tonight but this thread is about the Pacers and I feel we saw tonight the team we saw last year. They don't have an individual go-to scorer that you feel great about but they have a lot of guys that can hit a shot, hustle hard in the glass and although not great when it comes to bigs Toppin and Jackson were active. Not saying they're really a contender but I think they'll win a playoff round so long as they avoid the play-in.

Yeah, Boston played very poorly. The comeback was a tribute to just how lethal they are. Indy didn't really play that well either. They have not started clicking yet. Mathurin was the difference in the game.
