I didn't think I'd be interested in The Penguin even with how much I liked The Batman, but I like it a lot. I forget constantly that Ferrell is under all that makeup and prosthetics. He makes that character his own. I like how they lean more toward the Penguin being a gangster with a limp/waddle. And now he's moving his base of operations underground like the Penguin is known for.

Also, I like Mark Strong playing Falcone over John Turturro. Whenever I see Turturro I just think Transformers automatically or any loud mouth character's played. Strong does a much better job of personifying Falcone as a mobster.

Cristin Milioti as Sofia Falcone has been great too. That b!tch crazy. I like how you can't tell exactly what she's thinking sometimes.

i was wondering how long the writers would keep her in the dark but am glad it wasn't too long. and she's the perfect adversary to Oz because while he's busy trying to gain power and stack up money, she's out there plotting his demise and you know she's not motivated by money like Oz is which makes her more dangerous imo.

In the 1960's every other show or movie was about the wild west if you couldn't ride a horse and wear a cowboy hat you weren't gonna find work as an actor. Was dumb and uncreative then and today's flavor is just as dumb and uncreative. Now a days it's all about your ability to be some form of comic book spin off - wearing ridiculous costumes and makeup and pretending you have imaginary superpowers with a "compelling origin story".

Honestly it's all so stupid watching potentially good acting or actors get wasted on shit like nerdy Batman comics.

Gotta feed those consuuuuumers what they want though.
