Can't name a worse coach/assistant duo in NBA history can't believe we beat the Bucks last night when we're trying to tank :facepalm

Wouldn't be surprised if they miss the playoffs at this rate I feel sorry for Giannis

Throw Adrian Griffin in the mix and theyve really had a hell of a coaching tree lately. And not in a good way.

And to be frank I thought Bud was pretty bad in the playoffs, that chip they won is looking more and more like a fluke/outlier (as I said all along). This team hasnt even threatened a return to the finals since then.

Bud was at least somewhat competent

In 2021 they were the beneficiaries of an absurd amount of injuries to the other contenders in the playoffs, but since then, they haven't fielded a healthy team in the postseason.

Middleton was out in 2022 and they still nearly knocked off the Celtics, they honestly could've won the title that year if he was healthy. In 2023 Giannis missed half the series, then last year he missed all of it.

I'm not advocating for Bud being a good coach, but I really felt like they overreacted to the 2023 loss where Giannis got hurt and Butler morphed into Jordan over the final 2 games. Despite his consistently horrendous shooting performances in the playoffs, I would've kept Jrue instead of dealing for Dame.

Bud did all the same stuff Ham did. He's just as bad imo, he was the guy who taught Ham how to coach that way.

Yeah but the East has gotten better. So whether they stood pat or made the move they did, theyre unlikely keeping pace. Phoenix LET him run wild in the Finals. I give Giannis credit for seizing the moment, some players like Harden probably wouldnt, but Phoenix gave him a red carpet to dance all over. Ayton was mentally checked out and Monty had his head in the clouds. If the Suns dont inexplicably put up zero resistance, the narrative on Giannis is completely different. But people never include the nuances, the context in their assertions. They just look at the result and repeat some cliché they heard Tony Kornheiser give in a one minute PTI segment. "2 rings and an MVP, that puts him in so-and-so territory!" Thats what the public considers analysis, but thats not... meaningful analysis.

Not to deflect - but the Bucks have not only a new offense for schemes the have a new defense.

I think they just have to get comfortable in it, and when playoff time occurs , this is when Doc thinks they will shine.

On Offense I am sure you have seen Giannis shooting from the free throw line corners.
Not much of his typical fundamental post ups low on the block.

This is now Dames offense.

Defensively they now have Lopez down low to supposedly stop penetrations.
Giannis is supposedly for help defense down low.
The wings hav to challenge 3 point shots. That is the question mark IMO.

Pritchard off the bench all most scored 30.
White from the bulls did.
**THAT IS UNEXCEPTABLE IMO.
